The idea is good, position based card game. I am trending negative on it for the following reasons. -No undo button. I am old and an idiot and i have recently adopted a cat that likes to sit on my keyboard. Playing with the mouse alleviates this a bit but I prefer the keyboard. -Enemies all feel the same. Even the bosses. They are just a number on a card. -The effects/strategies of the decks all feel the same. It doesn't feel unique or good to pull off your combo it feels exactly like doing it for the other build paths. (Thorns Burn Bleed) They just feel like a number you activate by clicking a different button. -Sense of progression is uninteresting. I collect wood to upgrade buildings but half the time it doesn't even unlock anything because the secondary triggers aren't met. The game is OK. I got 7 hours out of it, maybe despite its flaws if it held my interest to 10 (my minimum hours played for a positive review) i would sing a different song.

Great game. Emphasis on puzzle combat with light deck-building elements. It starts off simple and each character and zone adds a new complication and by the end the game has some depth to it - especially when attempting the hard modes. It has more of a classic video game design where there aren't a whole lot of restrictions when it comes to power-ups and you can make stupid fun builds. The first characters you get are very straight forward but some of the later characters are particularly compelling to play. The one noticeable downside is the story is predictably lame. It's the exact same story they put in every female protag story. It's such a minor point of the game that this really isn't a huge detractor. Play this game if you like fun puzzle combat, strategy games or the art. Don't play this game for the story.

I found the game excellent, it has a good card composition and has been a great pastime. It is similar to Card Crawl, but with a different dynamic that I liked a lot. As for the negative critiques of the game, I honestly didn't have any issues with it; I ran it on both MAC and PC and everything worked very well. Some people gave negative reviews without even playing for 1 hour. So, be careful with those reviews from people who are too stupid to even give the game a try. Personally, I liked it a lot; it was worth every penny.

It's a good game. It has a little less depth than I expected and the runs get a bit samey over time as item variety isn't that great (which I'm sure it's something related to overall simplicity of the systems and gameplay loop, and that's OK too.) That said, I had fun trying out the different characters and builds, it's a cool game, I say go for it.
