I started playing this game on my iPhone years ago and when I discovered I could buy it and play it on my PC I grabbed it immediately. I never play mobile games, but I got seriously hooked and now I own every single game in this collection.

I only just recently purchased Kingdom Rush on Steam, but I am a veteran player of this series and have been playing every single Ironhide game since 2014 (on Google Play).
And all I can say is that, even in 2025 (perhaps especially in 2025), this is an immense offering. The original Kingdom Rush is an absolute triumph in tower defense strategy games. Mechanically sound, visually appealing, and utterly engaging. And with enough content to fill a hundred hours or more, on sale for the price of a coffee.
These are the games of my childhood, and they are everything I could dream of and more. I cannot recommend this, the game and the series, enough.

One of the highlights of my childhood, Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game. Set up archers, soldiers, mages, and artillerymen in a campaign to defend a fantasy land from the forces of evil. Enjoy the levels on any challenge from casual to veteran, fighting your way to freedom on the difficulty that suits you best. As I replay, I find myself enjoying it as much now as I did years ago, if not more. Truly fun for all ages!

Nothing can beat the first. The sheer amount of content in this game for nearly half the price of its sequels is more than enough reason to buy it. On top of that, its still one of the best tower defense games to date. There are nearly no other games that spike your dopamine like this one.
