An honestly great time.
They keep up the fun art style of the movie and TV show. The story is pretty fun. The characterization of our four turtle teens are pretty spot on. This game does a much better job of giving each of them more personality than the TV show. The themes of community and supporting others is wonderful. This world was just a fun time to be in and explore.
But there are some negitives with the game play.
There are a lot of platforming sections of the game, and due to the odd camera angle I would have a hard time. (Please note that I am not singled with platforming to begin with) It is also not too hard for you and mobs to get pushed off a edge. Not too much issue, you spawn right back with a minimal loss of health. But it can get a little frustrating.
Each of the turtles have a little different style of fighting but in the end you can just get good at dodging and mash the basic attack. Combos don't really matter.
In the end I had an amazing time. If you are a fan of this version of the turtles and looking for more of them; this is a great pick. If you are here just for beat-em up game and no story; you might be a little disappointed.
Not me though I had a great time 8/10
