A minor 'buyer beware'.
SPGP works well on a Steam Deck but *not* when it's docked.
Frequently fails to detect my XBox controller (I get stuck on the press 'A' screen) and on the odd occasion it does let you progress to main menu the game is pretty much unplayable due to horrible stuttering (even on default resolution) when cornering and hyper-sensitive handling.
Gameplay wise, not too bad. Yes, there a bunch of 'quirks' but it is early access so it would be wrong to expect high levels of polish.
Recommended? If development is going yield a finished product then absolutely, SPGP has the makings of being a very worthwhile game....but if there's only going to be a few minor tweaks & bugfixes from here onwards then nope, It's currently a very long way short of, say, the two FRR games and Hotshot Racing so there are far better alternatives out there to spend your hard-earned on.
