Compelling story as far as it goes. I enjoyed every minute of it. Please keep in mind that it's still in early access. I had some crashes and prolonged load times so save often. Of course your system may be better than mine and you could avoid some of this. Even so it was still enjoyable enough to compel me to keep playing even after these frustrations. I can't wait til we see the finished product.

This game is looking very promising. I'd play this game for quite a long time if it had a "open play" mode similar where I could continue to fight and level up.

I want to see this game come to life as this is one of my favorite world aesthetics. This is a beautifully detailed world that I can't wait to immerse myself into. Even in Early Access there's quite a bit of exploration and story, but not much in the way of customization, sadly. One thing I feel like I need to criticize is the crafting system. In EA, there isn't much to craft, but the complaint I have about it is that the system itself felt slow and unintuitive. The world seemed to grind to an unsatisfying halt while the system 'deployed' and then slowly created the thing I chose to make. I like the crafting overall and I can't wait to see it in it's full glory, but with how it's implemented needs serious tweaking. The combat is fun, I love the story and I hope to see more features with the Tech vs. Magic level. All in all, I'm excited to experience this game's full story!

As of right now, This game may be good gameplay wise, BUT once you enter the tunnel (about 2/3 of the available story in), the game begins to lag every minute. Lowering the setting does nothing to help this. And the further you progress the worse it get's with the game freezing every 30 seconds for about as long. Then there are only minor grievances, like: >the formation resetting after every loading screen, >the inventory dumping everything back into YOUR inventory after meeting with merchant, >Not having any kind of sorting system in the inventory >Class-specific labels on items something carrying over, misslabeling items >only being able to click on objects to interact with them, if there is no wall infront of it, despite being able to see it >The camera NOT zooming through walls indoors

This game honestly is good but does need work. It gives off vibes closer to Divinity Original Sin 2 and the Dragon Age series in a steampunk fashion. I know most people think of Baldur's Gate 3 as a close reference which I would also agree with. The character creation is decent with the options but I do hope to see more class options in the future centered around the 3 / 3 types of magic and technology. I think being able to mix more armors within each path would be nice as well. Crafting is kinda useless when it comes to items alongside enchanting items since you can probably just find an upgraded piece anyways but the system itself is innovative. Combat feels decent but some styles would need buffs. Melee hammer and fist are good at what they do but still feel a bit weak in terms of raw damage output. Pistols are crazy AOE thats consistent with the ricochet bullet and the proc chance which makes it the best imo. Shotguns are good but you get them later and rifles feel a bit underwhelming. My main character was a voodoo mage who kinda feel like a support character instead of a blaster mage which was disappointing but still worked within the game. I think if the item menu were polished up with features such as auto place / sort, it would feel better but it reminds me of looter shooters so its easy to use otherwise. I actually did like the story of the game and the concept behind the history. The companions are also very interesting but their approval doesnt really change too much for how far I got. Aside from my suggestions, I do think the game has some bugs such as leaving on the train crashing my game and the game running slow. I am excited to keep playing and keeping track of the updates and believe in these developers! This could be a really great game but only time will tell!

Very fun for CRPG enthusiasts...it's Early Access so definitely still some rough spots and the story ends too quickly...but the crafting mechanics, character progression, magical effects, deep story and more are unique and compelling...hoping for more!

its only in early access at the moment so take my review as you will there are only two starting classes (diesel tech and voodoo magic) as well as two races to choose from (elf and human) but damn this game is shaping up to be a masterpiece that combines fantasy and steampunk, the story is involved, the skill checks are interesting and the characters so far are well fleshed out with unique personalities
