The games are not very beautiful, there are many mistakes and they are very long. There is nothing exciting or enjoyable. I got tired while reading a million pages in a minute. What is your problem with the story? Make it short, something quick, quick.

Full Playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxKSMc-MLvI Scarred is a masterpiece of storytelling held back by many bugs and issues with gameplay (some of which HAVE been fixed since my time of playing). That said it's worth the investment of time and money on the story alone. Pros + Astonishingly good storytelling for an indie game + Tense unpleasant scenes keep you on the edge of your seat + A real mystery till the end + Smart puzzles that make sense Cons - At the time of release at least lots of bugs although many of these have been fixed now - Some sections feel over ambitious and combat likely wasn't needed at all - Stealth feels janky and unpolished

Below are the review by the viewers: Good SG game but incredible buggy. Bug till I puzzle about life… world hunger can be solved before this game It was fine ....I think the ending was messy and never ending Was a great idea, ending messy, no direction too long script and bugged till we wasted too much time until we cannot sleep early now Game is good with graphics, with good story. But it is way too long and the ending was sketchy. need more sound effects too much of a lullaby Incredible GamePlay, great historical image of Singapore in the past I think visuals was fine though, quite nice but the story just suddenly like chatgpt Feels like plenty of effort was put into the aesthetics, which was done very well. towards the end

Hard for me to really recommend in all honesty. Thumbs up just to be supportive and encouraging, but hope the devs provide better in the future. The story is ok, gameplay and puzzles are meh, but it does have some new concepts (at least to me). Not really scary, nothing really jumpscares or simmers beneath which will eventually settles into your mind. Also, the puzzles are kind of absurd and huge time waster. I try to remain positive. I give a little recap of the story in this video. https://youtu.be/7hEkF7YAG8g

4 fps cutscenes due to my bad gpu, but really nice story, loved it There's some bugs but the quicksave is really reliable, so even if I got softlocked it didn't set me too far back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0pUPF3F7bY

Bought this game because a friend sent me the steam page and I was interested to play a game based in my home country. The game was a generic "good" for me. I played the entire game in 1 sitting and give it a 7/10 in spite of some of the shortcomings that I will mention further along the review. For me, the positives of the game are the level design, overarching story and the premise of the game. I enjoyed the many throwbacks to HDB void decks, school classrooms and houses. The story was (for the most part) engaging and made me want to continue playing to find out what happened to the characters involved. What was lacking for me was atmosphere. I am unsure if the lack of BGM in most portions of the game was intentional to have a replicate a "quiet" and creepy feeling from walking down dark corridors but the lack of any music or any obvious music made certain levels not have as great of a horror atmosphere as it would have had. There were 2 occasions where the player character glitched through the floor during my playthrough, there was also a point where I could walk into the generator room that was supposedly blocked by the "hair wall". Another feature that was not clear to me was the "sprint" mechanic, often times I would press the L-shift button wondering if there was a sprint and could not tell if the movement speed of the character changed. It wasn't until I checked the control settings near the end of the game that I noticed that there was actually a sprint. The last few things I would like to bring up are related to enemy encounters so anyone who does not want to be spoiled by the "battles" can stop at this point:
In Chapter 2, when we encountered Calvin again (holding the trophy) there were 2 major issues I personally encountered. There was no clear distinction between when the cutscene ended and when the "fight" started leading to me being caught by him. The 2nd issue I faced was that, Alan was standing right in front of a red road block, meaning I couldn't walk backwards away from Calvin once the sequence started and realised I had to move to the side before I could "start" escaping. There was a section where Alan was being chased by a ghost doll wearing a purple mask at 4th level where the caskets of Olivia's grandparents were situated. I escaped as prompted by the game, but I did not actually see what was chasing me until I escaped and saw it in the cutscene, there was no "physical" monster in front of me during that entire sequence. The chase sequence with the "many hands" also has the same issue as Calvin, there was no clear distinction between the end of the cutscene and the start of the chase sequence which led to, again, a few deaths for no apparent reason. This was also where the sprint mechanic was meant to be used I believe and the inability to distinguish when Alan is sprinting or walking led to a bit of frustration when trying to go through this encounter. The final encounter that I would like to have perhaps some clarity from the devs about is the rooftop "battle" with Olivia's father. The one where Alan had to continually engage with the 4 generators. I struggled quite a bit with this one as I had 3 large issues and had no clue which was the actual problem. 1) It was very tough trying to aim the basketball in to the generator room as the shooting was not always straight, it would sometimes deflect and deviate off quite sharply even when aimed straight into the room. 2) The room of containing the generators were a little too narrow that it allowed no room for error, it felt like you requred pixel perfect aiming to even get the ball into the room. 3) The hitbox for the generators were also oddly specific, I believe it was only the buttons in the middle that could activate the them but the first 2 issues I faced led to this also being a very large issue for me during this encounter. The last thing that I would perhaps like to nitpick about is the room with the burning mirrors and the note in the middle, after putting out the fires there was no clue on how to proceed and I had to actually watch a playthrough to realise I had to just keep throwing balls at mirrors until one broke (though I did actually do that and it didn't work)
NOW, in spite of every thing I said above, I did enjoy the game for the novelty and would actually love to have some of the matters fixed. Hope this helps!

Make no mistake, this game has some jank to it. I've had menus stick to my face while walking. I was not able to escape from the menu after picking up an item. My character started randomly sliding around. While annoying, I got over it because I found the game interesting. I was invested in the story of the characters, and I felt that it resolved well. The puzzles were mostly understandable and easy to solve. I say mostly because there's this one elevator puzzle towards the end of the game that I did not realize was a puzzle. I thought the game was bugged. I had to look up a guide just to see if I was bugged or if this was supposed to happen. With that said, while the overall sentiment of the review seems negative, none of it rose to the level to meaningfully detract from my enjoyment of the game. I recommend it

Been playing this game for a few hours, I love the story so far but the game glitches and occasional crashes, especially during the the part when you're finally outside and a cutscene happens is game breaking. I was streaming this game knowing it's still very new, but the crash in that particular section has even managed to crash my OBS while streaming. I don't know if I can recommend this game yet, but hopefully with a few more fixes, this game will be playable enough for me to stream. I do love the story the game has, but the game mechanics and bugs really throw me off at the moment. I will change the rating once I'm able to get through the game without any crashes. *EDIT* So I tried to run the game again while streaming, hopefully to run it on lower settings to possibly bypass the crashes if it was a graphical issue... The game crashed at startup and even fucked up my OBS program, so yeah. And now I can't even stream any steam games with my OBS without it crashing immediately. I can't recommend the game at its current state, but I hope that the developers are working on fixing the issue.
