One of my roommates played this game in its beta version and I bought it based on her description. I'm a HUGE classic Final Fantasy nerd. I loved 4, 5 & 6, and this game very much scratched that itch.
I was hooked by setting of a post-apocalyptic future. I love all the extra characters, the music is unique for each area, the story is unique and very much subverting my expectations of a standard fantasy game.
Getting it on sale for $5 was great, too.
There was a small bump when I thought I lost my progress after a recent patch update, but soon after reporting the issue, the devs very quickly posted on the discussion page on how to copy over save files from previous versions of the game.
There's a LOT of love showing in this project and I am delighted to return to Nolan and Bridget's story.
