I love how VR lets the simplest games become pure gold. This game has actually topped Beatsaber and Blade & Sorcery as my candidate for best overall VR experience. Have fun and get a workout all at once to some bangin tunes.

This is the best VR game I've ever played, and I think more should be like it. The enemies in this game aren't locked into a rigid animation when they attack, which is first and foremost what I believe makes this game so great. Everything flows realistically and organically and the immersion is second to none.

Great game that had a surprising sound track. That filthy UK Grime really hits and gives some Buck Bumble vibes. It paints the gritty dark nature of Underdogs environment and gets you in the mood for smashing. Great game play. Very satisfying smashing and bashing. The Cycle feels well planned and your choices have impact. A lot of ways to plan your route. Would recommend.

Awesome game, it's fun from the start, very fun. I think this one of the games that justify buying VR headset.

This is the first vr game i've seen that you need actual skill to succeed while also being a sandbox, the overlap between the day preperation and night fighting is amazing

Really good game if it supports your headset, apparently their support for the Quest 3 is wonky, so attempting to play the game in it's current state doesn't work, the screen puts you in a random place to where you can't move or control your mech. Reinstalled the game three different times, trying different beta branches, and still, nothing works. Will change my review to positive if the game works again. EDIT: Issue turned out to be ALVR, which I used instead of Oculus Link, but switching BACK to Oculus Link instead fixed it, good game and cool developer!

Amazing vr game. I've never had as much fun and as much of a workout in any other VR game. Fell in love with the art style, weapons and mechanics pretty early on into playing it. If you own a VR headset and are looking for a fun time then this is 100% worth it. Issue(s): The way the game handles the camera orientation is a bit janky. I've had to reset my room alignment after most battles since the second you kill the last enemy it sets that direction you were looking as the default orientation. It's not enough to be majorly annoying but it deffo takes the immersion out a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the final boss since it's got sooo much HP and is quite repetitive until the last phase. Recommendation(s): Interactive maps I think adding more interactive maps would be nice. Instead of having hazards be active constantly or occasionally, why not have some be activated via buttons/targets? I feel that having things in the arena that you can help liven it up and bring a new about new tactics/strats. Equipable arms Adding in the ability to bring an extra arm or two into the arena could be sick and would help with the final boss. For example, If you lose an arm, you could reach behind your head and pull out another arm and jam it into the missing arm's socket at the cost of its locomotion being horrendous, it'd save you from flailing one arm around while having the other one doing nothing. It'd also bring more options an extra layer when build planning.

One of the best VR games out there. It is easy to learn and feels great to master. The game has amazing vibe and the music elevates the action. Game runs extremely well and the controls are extra smooth. It's a pleasure to play. Beware, because you will be sore and dripping wet after a few good hours with this game.

UNDERDOGS is a game I cannot recommend enough for anyone with a VR set. This grungy smackfest is one of them most fun experiences I've personally experienced in VR. The best I can describe the game is if Chappie, Real Steel, and Pacific Rim had a baby and threw it into the grimy underbelly of Cyberpunk 2077. From the 2.5D cutscene presentation, grim dystopian world, and top-notch music tracks, this game is brimming with personality. But this game has plenty more than just style. The game is a rogue-lite so you're expected to make multiple runs. It's not difficult to unlock new things, and with each run you're more than likely clawing your way further into each act. Experimenting is part of the fun, and there's always something cool around the corner. Rather than using Rogue-lite mechanics to pad out game time, it becomes a satisfying loop of experimentation and progression. The moment to moment beats in actual combat are intense and engaging. Dragging around the 'Rilla (your Mech) by gripping the floor while throwing out haymakers into the hordes of bots you'll be facing is a primal high that hasn't been replicated in any game. The act of piloting the Mech itself is intuitive and only takes a few moments to get the hang of. There's a decent amount of enemy types with their own variants, and even additional modifiers on top that make each fight different in their own way. Arena formats change, enemy spawns differ, and the weapons and upgrades you find determine what kind of play style you'll favor. I ended my 12th run using a Nailgun to stun enemies while using a Flail to haymaker them into oblivion. Outside of combat, you'll engage in a pseudo Tabletop style exploration where you pick different types of characters and events to interact with. There are benefits to working with certain types of people that even have knock-on effects later. The same goes for trying to screw them over in any way (like stealing from them). The random events keep the game fresh in a way that's engaging, and repeated playthroughs are consistently unique with little overlap. I personally don't have too many qualms with this game, and it has a good amount of side content with an Endless Mode, Community Made maps, and even a Sandbox Gym to test out builds. The only real issue I had was during the final boss fight my game took a dump and had an extreme performance dip before it cleared up and I beat the boss. But, honestly. That was a single time, and I was playing wirelessly. So it was a minor hiccup more than anything. Again, I cannot recommend this game enough. This game really brings a whole new level of quality and love for VR games I just don't see that often. 10/10, would want to experience blind again.
