Excellent strategy game, I do like the persistant army, build or steal a ship and keep it until end of campaign!

This is a game that my dad introduced to me young on CD, and a game that continued well into my late childhood. That is now all coming to a tragic close because Randy Cuckford and gearbox as a whole have decided to screw over any and all gaming communities with games associated with gearbox. Fuck you Bitchford. Fuck you

Classic RTS gameplay but in beautifully rendered space. Watching the individual turrets on your formation of corvettes aim and fire never gets old!

This game is older than me. But old really is gold with this one. Fans of RTS would be remiss if they had not played this classic.

they turned there game into spyware because of the EULA do not buy this game and if you have any other Gearbox software games uninstall it. can't even mod the game.

Loved this game, played it a ton pre-Gearbox and pre steam. picked up the remastered to support the fun I had with it. It can rot in hell now, not a chance will I put this spyware POS on my computer. Steam needs to step in and refund predatory practices, bought this game pre-EULA, total garbage company, always has been and always will be.

They managed to make a remaster that LOST basic functionalities the original had, but hey, whatever. It was good enough to play it again. Bu Gearbox's bonkers end user licence agreement applies to Homeworld. So I'm giving this game the "Gearbox Treatment" : I'm uninstalling, I'm not buying anything for it ever again, and I'm giving those bastards the middle finger. By their EULA, anywhere it's legal to do so, you are forbidden to intent any lawsuit. Thankfully there are still civilized places in the world where this is illegal. By their EULA, modding is a bannable offense. Or rather, if you mod, it has to be with their tools and as authorized by them. And those mods belong to them. By their EULA, if you're a content creator, they can use anything you make about this game for whatever purpose they wish and you can't say jack shit about it. By their EULA, if you don't comply, they are allowed to reset your progress, your save, or lock you out of playing the game. This is akin to Ikea saying "we don't like the way you use our table" and then coming to your home and smashing it. And they specificaly state they can do it any time, at their own discretion. By their EULA, their "adverse action" may be automated. So you may be fucked by an AI who doesn't even properly read your own language or whatever. So long, Gearbox. You won't be missed.

Bought the game attempted to change the resolution it completely broke the game and now home world 2 will not boot up even after multiple clean reinstallations of the game as far as i'm aware there is no official fix for this and this has been an issue since 2015 from what i've been able to read in the steam help page i do not suggest buying this as there will clearly be no support or fix for this issue and your buying a broken package.

Put Gearbox Interactive on your ignore list. New Eula as no respect for paying customers.

With all the EULA crap that Take-Two has put in place, I cannot and will not recommend this game or any gearbox game to anyone again. Take-Two is anti consumer and really scummy for being so blatantly evil. Uninstall all gearbox games and never purchase from them again, that is what I and many others recommend. Take-Two can rot in hell.
