I bought this game, like 3 months ago, friends and I binged it for like 20 hours straight, left it aside and came back after the update, the removed a pretty big function in my opinion which was neither here nor there as far as ruining the game. My one big complain is the game crashes or desyncs you from your friends so often its ridiculous. Maybe if they fix it i would recommend it again, as it stands now its a bit frustrating and annoying having your game crash or desync every 10 mins.

the game is very different and drastic from when I first bought and fell in love with it. Every time I get the craving to play this game I come back and find the game filled with dogshit updates and changes that ruin the fun and experimentation of the original release. I really hope the developer starts listening to the community and give us back the game we all fell in love with.

Very interesting concept, but the pacing is waaaay off. First 20-30 floors are completely irrelevant, you oneshot every mob you encounter while ignoring all the mechanics, so you basically have to sit through 40minutes of just pressing 'attack' before starting the run for real. I want to play the game more, but the hussle of going through early game successfully prevents me from starting a new run :(

I don't have many hours nor do I write many, if any, reviews but I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews after the update dropped. The thing that seems the most hated about the update is the removal of dismantle (which imo, is the best thing they did). From my experience with the game, before the update, all you did was pick a loadout with a plan of what 3 set bonuses you planned on running. You get that set, and now you just pad your stats with dismantling and upgrading your gear to Cosmic level or whatever the highest is. Just trying to get to levels of strength where nothing mattered anymore but getting upgrades and upgrading fodder gear to dismantle for more stats. BORING imo. With the new update, for some of the later sets, you will end up using 3 bonuses cause that's just how the math ends up being BUT, I no longer need to "pad" my stats with dismantle and I am banishing gear from sets I don't plan on using this run as I have established my build now which narrows the pool for upgrades. But more importantly, narrows the pool to get pieces of gear from sets that I am using that are REFORGED (which gives increased stats and bonuses but are RNG in which set bonuses they are multiplied by a.k.a it's reroll-o-clock to minmax my reforged gear). I am ACTUALLY looking for LOOT now instead of just stat fodder. The gameplay loop is the same. Hit attack, look for loot. But the reason behind the loot is so much better now in my opinion. I hope these negative reviews don't deter the devs from reverting or anything but at a business standpoint, I would understand why they would have to make that decision. Which is honestly sad because I think this is a fun, new, exciting thing to play with and absolutely itches my GACHA itch by rerolling for reforged items to minmax. Everyone who thinks the removal of dismantle was the worst thing they could've done, imo, needs another game to go super saiyan in cause I came into this game looking for the best loot I can find and padding stats and upgrading the same set over and over again ain't it. THIS update IS IT for me.

I purchased and played this game because the dismantle mechanic allowed almost infinite possibilities for builds, scaling, and enjoyable gameplay. This is not the same game without it. I am now rail roaded into the same 2-3 builds for all characters to reach a higher level. Whereas previously I could create more than 30+ unique ways to survive and "win" however my mood felt at that time. You ruined a successful game. If you didn't like how your consumers played, make a new game instead of ruining what we loved.

i loved this game, i really did, then my favourite builds and setups were completely changed, functions in the game were removed, the bits that made the game feel fun and interesting are removed, it was an amazing game, im sad to say i dont think ill play anymore

BUYER BEWARE!!! THE "ABOUT THIS GAME" DESCRIPTION IS NO LONGER ACCURATE! It feels like I bought an oven from the store, used it and loved it. Then the next day I find out the manufacturer broke into my home and changed my oven to a dishwasher, stating they didn't like the oven and took the liberty of changing it while stating, "Don't worry, it still has heat!" After the latest patch, several core mechanics were removed from this game. Prior to the patch, the game was amazing. You could experiment with many different builds, could build a strategy, and didn't have to rely on RNG due to the dismantle feature. After the last patch, you are extremely limited in what builds are viable and need to rely on pure RNG to proceed further. Dismantle was removed, which was a feature to add permanent boosts to your character at the end of every floor. Without this feature, the game is mostly RNG with very limited strategy. In addition to removing dismantle, the latest patch reworked all characters to remove any skills that provided long term growth. Set limits were removed and some of the sets had major overhauls; some were good, some were bad. If this game were early access, this wouldn't be so bad. But it's not. It's a fully released game and I bought it for the version I played, not this new one.

[h3]Review date: 20. Feb. 2025[/h3] I can't recommend the game in it's current state or patch philosophy. With every patch the solo dev is overhauling core mechanics, which were fine by itself and substitute them with worse alternatives. If a build is broken, a new monster will be added to counter it, instead of balancing the build. So if you run a build, which doesnt use the "OP" combination of items and/or character, tough luck. This becomes more apparent if you reach higher floors. Multiplayer is bugged since the beta. Until last patch you could at least reduce the desyncs while not playing at the max game speed of x8, but with higher floors the risk of desyncs also increased. But now this doesn't help either. The desynchronisation between the players now happens independent of game speed or floor level. The mechanic of dismantling items for permanent stat gains was a good mechanic. Somewhat flawed for party play because you could accidentally brick another players setup. This could be finetuned via making it so that every player can dismantle items only for them. Regardless the new substitude for that is reforged items. I think this is a mechanic that was not tested whatsoever. Now items can have substats, but can only combined with same item who has also substats. So if you are lucky to get an item, you are currently using, with the same rarity and a substat you [b]can't[/b] fused it together. So in summary your growth is more limited and you are now even more space starved and luck depended.

This game keeps changing to worse and worse. Due to no dismantle and new active items, most builds make no sense because they make you die before floor 10 and the inventory gets full of the new active items instantly. This game was pretty good, but now it's unplayable.

I loved this game, and threw myself hard into learning how to make builds and how to set up combinations to reach floor 100. Then the dev made every single hour spent learning and growing useless. I will not hit the 60hr mark in this game. You know it's bad when the #1 build creator, the most vocal member of the community in the discord left because the dev refused to listen to criticism of his obnoxious changes. He defended his overhauls with empty platitudes, and invalidated hundreds, if not thousands of play hours by adding "HAHAHA FUNNY RNG MAKE GEAR GOOD".
