I like this game, I really do. And while I do Recommend it, I would wait until it gets a few updates as it has a few problems that need to be addressed. First, the good: 1. Making your own character is fun. The options are plentiful and it actually makes the runs feel really unique since you can choose a class as well (there are only three at the moment). 2. Graphics have an old smoothed out style that looks good and its easy on the eyes. The character models have this Gundam like look to them and it fits with the environment. 3. The story is pretty generic but its overall setting is quite unique as it takes place in a underwater factory that makes advanced exosuits. 4. Combat is fast paced, kind of like Doom or Quake. 5. Weapons feel nice to use and the RPG mechanics are pretty interesting since it can effect how combat will fair in the long run. Now for the issues, be mindful that this game released yesterday as of this review and the problems you see may or may not change: 1. Missing flooring on some maps: I fell through the floor at one point due to it not being rendered and had to kill the run I was on, fortunately for me it was at the beginning but imagine if it was in a longer run. 2. Not fully translated: Some text and some things you find out on the field isn't fully translated, such as the store terminal in the control room (your base of operations) and when you try to open a door without a key. 3. Melee locks your camera in place: This is a bit odd and doesn't fit with the combat, it makes it hard to hit a target, especially since some move so fast leading you to miss most of the time. There is also a glitch that happens when you melee and die at the same time, your camera gets locked in place preventing you from moving side to side and use specific skills. 4. Some maps have no exit or a way to get to the exit: This one needs to be addressed immediately as it cuts runs short. Some maps block off the exit and getting to it is impossible, I want to have those super long runs that have me fight for my life and scavenging for ammo and health like a sick gremlin. 5. Controller support is a bit wonky: Sensitivity for looking is too high and has no option to turn it down, rebinding buttons is impossible and you are unable to switch weapons since its bound to pressing left stick (LS) which does not work, this could do with a bit of tweaking but its nice that its available. Also using the shop on controller is impossible due to B (the interaction button on controller) not registering and needing to press E (PC controls) to buy things. Overall: I think this game is a good pass time game, I really want to dive deep and explore more but due to the underlining issues I cant fully. hopefully it gets fixed soon. Edit: After doing more research, its come to my attention that I missed a few things in my initial review so I will add them here. 1. the melee issue affects the warrior, but the warrior's melee attack is so fast it doesn't matter, the mage has the issue the most since the attack is slower. the rouge doesn't have the issue since its a one press multi hit attack. 2. the weapon switch button does work, I just miss read it and thought it switched to the second PRIMARY weapon, not SECONDARY, I goofed. still, there should be a option to switch primary weapons on controller, the d-pad isn't being used so that could work. 3. Just watched the trailer and saw that the terminal for upgrades at the control room does work, its just bugged or I haven't gotten far enough to use it, so this needs fixing. 4. Either I've been getting severely unlucky with the mage or I haven't had the problem with the other classes but the exits not being reachable or being find-able just up and disappeared when I deleted my mage class and played as the other 2, I even got the chance to fight the first boss so I'm confused. Game is still a fun time though, ten dollars and its well worth the money.
