lazy timmy cant fight a ton of cannibals and mutants so i have to save him. although i love the fact the virginia has a ton of feet, so 10/10 game.
jokes aside, pretty awesome game, fun with friends and horrifying alone. the cost is worth it.

Fun game, some times scary because neighbors wont let you live peacfully. So many things to build in the open world. Story was good,
will leave you on a cliffhanger (depending on the ending)
. Looking forward to play Sons of the forest
Fun fact: There a new demon you get to see if you stay for more than ~74 days in the game.

just absolutely 0 direction as to where you have to go, went to absolute Bagdad down the crater, dove down to the other cave made it all the way to the gate for me to need some keycard from a different cave on the other side of the world only way to ever play this game is either spend 1k hours to know the whole map like the back of your hand or just step by step with a guide.

The Forest - How to Survive Cannibals, Fall Off Cliffs, and Lose Timmy in 10 Steps or Less
Imagine waking up after a plane crash and instead of a flight attendant offering peanuts, you’re greeted by aggressive, screeching cannibals. Welcome to The Forest, where horror meets crafting, and finding your lost son Timmy becomes a DIY nightmare with an axe and a lighter.
What Works (Surprisingly Well)
The island’s visuals are still stunning in 2025 — forests, lakes, and gore all look impressively real. It’s like a horrifying nature documentary.
Cannibal AI is unpredictable and genuinely scary, delivering classic “nope!” moments.
Multiplayer (up to 8 players) is great — more hands mean faster wood chopping... and more potential bait for the locals.
Base-building is super flexible: build a treehouse, a log mansion, or an "end-of-the-world" bunker — your inner architect will thrive.
Peaceful and Creative modes exist if you’d rather not scream every five minutes or get your face chewed off.
What Might Drive You Away (Screaming)
Playing solo can feel more frustrating than thrilling — isolation hits hard, and dying alone isn’t exactly rewarding.
Difficulty ramps up over time, and dying repeatedly only makes survival more stressful.
The inventory becomes a chaotic mess as you collect more items — like rummaging through a suitcase packed by a raccoon.
Multiplayer, while fun, kills some of the horror vibes — a group chat full of jokes makes cannibals less terrifying.
Bugs galore: floating objects, suicidal deer, enemies trapped in doors — a carnival of glitches at times.
“I liked it... until I felt like the game was always one step ahead, and I was running in circles with a stick.” - Probably how every Solo player felt.
Who Should Play This?
Fans of survival horror who like exploring creepy caves with duct-taped weapons.
Anyone with friends willing to scream, build log cabins, and forget about poor Timmy.
Players who can laugh off janky bugs and chaotic inventories in the name of immersive dread.
Final Verdict: 06/10
Big scares, big fun, but solo play and persistent bugs might twist your survival fantasy into a mild existential crisis.
Have fun!

One of the legendary titles in the survival horror genre. To be fair, compared to modern games, it’s just “pretty good” by today’s standards — but back in the day, it was absolutely amazing. That said, it’s still 100% worth playing even now, whether you're surviving solo or messing around with friends.

This is honestly a simulator of running through a forest in seek of caves. As for the gameplay it is ... ok I guess, I recommed playing with friends. But the game has a huge downside - it is broken. It breaks on the slightest problems and you need to restart from a save that you made not too long ago .... or not. I finished the game once and tried to redo it for another ending ... but the game just fucking broke 4 FRICKING TIMES (???). So I just gave up xD. The game itself is ok, buuuuut it might break randomly and ruin your experience :)

*Timmy’s not okay, and neither am I.*
You crash into a forest. Cool, let’s build a treehouse and make spears.
Then night falls… and you realize the forest is not just trees.
Built a base? Cannibals made it their Airbnb.
Crafted armor? Got jumped by something that looks like a meatball with legs.
Made friends with turtles? Now I’m crying every time it rains.
After 100 hours of deforestation, mutant brawls, and shouting “WHERE’S THE MAP?”, I finally reached the ending.
Actually, TWO endings. One made me go “Oh no.”
The other made me go “OH NO.”
(But in very different emotional tones.)
Play it solo for the terror, play it co-op for the chaos. Either way, you’ll never trust a cave again.
🔪 10/10 would lose sanity over Timmy again.
🌊 Ocean blur still scares me more than mutants.

Fun game! Love building and gathering things for my house. Only negative is my new neighbors won't leave me alone and keep forcing me into their cave. They don't even offer me snacks..
