A fun simple Survival Horror Game. If you see this game on Sale pick it up. Its worth the play. Highly recommend you pick it up to play with friends though. There is some annoying bugs and combat does have issues. They are however small enough most people can over look it. 4/10 - Pick up with some friends to complete together. Minor issues, but over all a fun time.

I’d say that it’s a great game it’s immersive, the building system is good, Enemies get stronger over time, there’s multiplayer, a big map to explore ect. Although there’s glitches here and there but besides that its a good game.

The Forest is a classic survival game! A lot of fun alone, and even more with friends, you find yourself at the mercy of your environment and the, ah... *native* populations. While now a bit aged compared to some newer entries in the genre, it's still very engaging, especially if you assume the role of experienced guide with newer players. Beyond just grabbing food and surviving, you have fairly configurable options for building structures, watercraft, and eventually your own base. Save yourself, save your son, and get out of here! That is, until the next time you return ;)

"I have seen them, they are everywhere." Review: The Forest Oh yes, The Forest has truly come a long way to finally become the fully-fledged game it is today. I still vividly remember discovering The Forest years ago through Gronkh’s channel on YouTube, and I was immediately captivated by the game’s concept. That’s why I decided to test the game myself in early access some time later. Even back then, I saw something special and a lot of potential in it. However, when I played through the final version of the game for the first time, I was genuinely surprised by just how much content and how many features had been added since those early days. Game Concept: The Forest is an open-world survival game that begins with you crashing onto a seemingly uninhabited island far from civilization. As typical for the genre, you must gather food, water, and shelter to survive. However, you will soon realize that you are not as alone on this island as you might have thought. Besides the wildlife, the island is inhabited by native tribes and strange mutants who have kidnapped your son, who was sitting next to you on the plane before the crash. In The Forest, your goal is not only to survive but also to find your son and uncover the dark secrets of the island. Gameplay: The gameplay in The Forest is incredibly diverse. The crafting system is an essential part of the game. Besides weapons and tools to aid your survival, you can also build your own shelter. To build a safe haven, you’ll make use of the game’s versatile construction system, which allows you to construct not only simple walls, doors, and floors but also a variety of other structures for protection, defense, and self-sufficiency. Apart from building, exploring the game world is equally important to discover new areas and useful items. The island itself features a wide variety of landscapes—from dense forests and sandy beaches to dark caves and snowy regions—making exploration both exciting and rewarding. Story: Although there is a story, it’s not the primary focus of the game. You can piece together information about past events on the island through scattered notes, and the few cutscenes in the game, especially toward the end, significantly contribute to the overall narrative. Conclusion: The Forest is a survival game like no other, standing out even among the many competitors in the genre. Whether you’re exploring caves, hunting animals, fighting cannibals, gathering resources, or building a base, The Forest never feels too monotonous and manages to keep players hooked for hours on end. It’s also worth mentioning that The Forest is even more fun when played with at least one friend, as I did. I had an absolute blast during my last playthrough and would highly recommend The Forest to any gamer who isn’t intimidated by the challenges it presents. If you’re up for an adventure, this island is definitely worth a visit. That’s it for this review! Have fun gaming, and I’ll see you in my next review! Saderhorn

The Forest is one of the best survival horror experiences out there. With its open-world survival mechanics, the tension of fighting off cannibals, and the terrifying atmosphere, it’s perfect for fans of horror and survival games alike. Verdict: A must-try for anyone who loves a challenge and horror. 🌲🔥

I started playing The Forest thinking I’d be the next ultimate survivor - hunting, roast some fish, chop down trees or maybe build a nice lakeside cabin. What I dind’t expect was to be scared sh*tless by naked cannibals, who sprint at me like they just finished a marathon on crack. First few in-game night? Terrifying. Every rustling bush? Immediate panic attack. Then, just when I thought I was getting the hang of things -building my cozy, fully fenced-in beachfront property (yes, I live in luxury, even in hell), feeling like a survival queen - the game goes: “Oh, by the way, here are some mutants.” And not just any mutants. No. These fckers are like the unholy offspring of a Lovecraftian nightmare and a science experiment gone horribly wrong. And guess what? They spawn on my well-secured property. MY land. My safe space! What’s the point of building a fortress if a seven-legged flesh monster can just casually waltz through it like it owns the place?? Bro, I BUILT A FENCE FOR A REASON! How does this game work?? As if the horrors of the game weren’t enough, I had to deal with my so-called teammates. Afk master - One of them is AFK 60% of the time. Why? I don’t know. Probably because he’s so f*cking done with this game that he decided real life is less stressful. Captain Clueless - Then there’s the one guy who has no godd*mn idea what’s going on. I mean, I get it. Survival games can be overwhelming. But we’re all hunting a shark on the island near the yacht. Where is he? He‘s just standing and jumping off the dock we built and trying to kill an imaginary shark. Buddy...do you not see the rest of us fighting for our lives? Do you not see the giant shark fin cutting through the water?! Oh wait, of course not because you’re facing the wrong damn direction, throwing rocks into the ocean like some ancient caveman trying to summon a sea god! Well...logic left the chat here. Then....my favourite bug appeared. The game lets you build log sled to haul wood, right? Sounds useful. Except this game is coded by Satan. I was sprinting with my sled... AND THEN BOOM! THE GAME DECIDES IT'S TIME TO SEND ME TO SPACE. At this point, I’ve completely abandoned the main storyline. Timmy can rot. I am now a full-time architect, dedicated to building the most luxurious beachfront resort this island has ever seen. Who needs a plot-twist when you can have a two-story mansion with custom flooring and a fking gazebo? So...Would I recommend The Forest? Hell yes. But only if you’re mentally prepared for sleep deprivation, paranoia, betrayal, and the inevitable breakdown that comes from trying to work with guys.
