This game was a surprising little gem, and for only 2$ its such a steal. I found myself dancing along to the original soundtrack, very catchy!

For as cheap as this game is, the quality and content is amazing. You get access to a full on grindy RPG that you can also play with friends and family. The grind is very rewarding and never gets boring nor feels repetitive. Simple art style but it seems to just work with the overall theme and feel of the game. Not a game that takes too much from your personal life. You can hop on whenever and you miss nothing. Some of the monsters and bosses could be a bit challenging but it pushes you to grind new gear and level up your character just so you can overcome those obstacles. And this is a game I feel like I can play for hours without getting bored and that is because the grind feels so awarding due to its fast paced nature. I recommend this game to someone looking for a fast paced RPG and those who enjoy the grind. You will never get bored.

So after about an hour of playing, I got to say I did enjoy the game, It Is simple and fun, nothing super deep or special but It Is worth the small price tag and does contain enough content to keep you entertained for a while as you level up and get better gear. I did not finish the game, nor what Is currently there, at least not yet, but will probably return to It later. However during play I did also notice a few things that were broken, or just bothered me
You have no way to exit the game from the main menu, you have to boot into your save before you can turn the game off, and you also can not return to the main menu from the game... or well so it appears but there seems to be a hidden button in the lower left corner of the save screen which takes you back to the main menu, I don't quite get why Its not just normally there but yeah.
Another issue I had was that the healthbar of the UI covers the doors of houses, not really gamebreaking but somewhat annoying.
Then I found two bugs, the first one being that the bodybuilder quest gave me two bodybuilder items, but after selling one, the other one randomly turned into a rat tooth sword when I attempted to equip it, and thus I lost both items and could not finish the questline, which Is a bit annoying. The second bug had me unable to do the first dungeon on easy, since you wont spawn in the room with the rats, there Is also no way to exit the dungeon without restarting the game, so after doing that 4 times, I was about to call it quits on the game but decided to try medium and realized that worked. Easy does work when you have the bodybuilder item equipped however but doesnt seem to work for me otherwise since the rats seem to spawn in an entirely different room.
Overall pretty fun lil experience which seems to be made by a solo dev so will come back to it down the line

This is a good game, and is more than I expected considering it is in Early Access. It's not like anything I've played before, and it's graphical simplicity is charming. The music is good. You fight, grind for gear (not like in Diablo as there aren't many options, but you still want the boss to drop the next level gear), you improve your gear, you repeat. Fun and works well!

Meh. Its his first game so I don't wanna knock too hard, but yeah, the gameplay is too shallow. Its just spam clicking until the enemy dies kinda combat. You unlock some spells and abilities overtime but Is wear some of those abilities just didn't work when I tried to use them and some of the items I think had a functionality, but I couldn't get them to work. I enter some areas where I get hit and sent all the way back to the beginning of the areas, and I just don't understand that. I feel like the game is zoomed out too far, like its a bit hard to see enemies and your own character while you explore.
Some of the music just doesn't fit the atmosphere at all. Some areas have techno music like in a village or lake, then you got more desert-like music in the desert area, which makes sense for that but not what I said before.
Not much to say about the story cause I only had 11 minutes of gameplay but I just know it takes place in Ezerath and you some guy who fits a bunch of creatures and stuff. Not much else. I thought Ezerath was the main character's name.
The graphics are pretty simple and look like something like it came from a RPG maker game from Game Jolt. I give props for the fact some of the assets are actual original and drawn.
To conclude my critique, I think the game could use some more indepth combat and some better fitting music and atmospheric noise depending on which area you're in, also, a "YOU DIED" message or death message would be good if you did die so when you go back to the entrance after a one shot kill it doesn't feel like the game is broken. Hope that makes sense.

pretty fun! even though it's a looter and pretty grindy, it reminded me a bit of the simple combat of the bump style Ys games. the artstyle is charming, especially the main character sprites. some songs were also suprisingly atmospheric, like the ones that play in the swamp and icy areas. the lack of shiny visuals for upgrading stuff and opening loot actually turns this into a less compulsive experience than other games of the subgenre. it really does seem like a game made for the love of the grind (and it's not so long as to get really hardcore).
there are a few little quality of life features that i'd suggest (2024 UPDATE: these were all implemented! the last boss didn't even need any changes, that was just a question i had):
- more increments to upgrading equipment. between the 1 and MAX settings it'd be nice to see an option to upgrade 10 or 100 armor levels in a row so i can balance health and damage without clicking 1000 times like a maniac for the late game equipment.
- a separate volume setting for the music
- maybe that's just me being bad at the game, but i feel like the final 2 bosses' attacks are a little too fast to even understand how to dodge them. if they're meant to damage you all the time without dodge windows, that's fine, but some clarity that that is the case would still be cool.
that's it! hope to see more games from this dev :>

I highly recommend this game. It is both challenging and engaging. It is one of a few games that can be enjoyed in small, 4-5 minute increments while still remaining fun if played for hours on end.
