This games been out for over 8 years, less than 200 steam users have reviewed it in that time: i'm someone who started playing this game late starting on 10-06-2024. Once i started searching for any mods that might improve the god awful gameplay especially with the food stamps rng (lol) i noticed that building my character with the added risk of running yellow skull rooms only depends if the rng is going to give you health for hardmode or damage for normal/easy mode, tech power isn't really explained, most food stamp upgrades are weak, idk how high the tiers of each upgrade go on them but with all the variety of food to choose from and the price of each food, upgrading your character in the longterm based around complete rng can make or break your run, every character in this game is pretty much melee-midrange with left click as the auto attack and right click as a stun attack each character has it's own passive uniqueness to them for example kate can kite alot easier versus riot ray where you can do a small spin and take a hit to his back with a shield that auto-regenerates. using the dodge with the other 3 characters does almost nothing when fighting certain enemies, in particular the enemies with a sword and shield. They might have an advantage with enemies using guns but i don't know. it's a shame there have been zero expansions on character development, UI development, i noticed that golden weapons could've had previews and never got them, enemies could've had a bestiary and never got that etc. etc. etc. it's crazy how this game was slapped together with all these tough challenges and multiplayer with leaderboards but in reality the entire game is nothing but a wasteland of deadness. nobody is ever online and the devs look like they left a long time ago probably to work on some other game like kill to collect part 2 or something for all i know. overall this game has it's kicks in multiplayer and it's whatevers in solo gameplay. in conclusion: the game has alot of holes in it, and 4 limiting characters to play as with zero mods, everytime you do a google search on the game a few youtubers have done a few older uploaded videos of gameplay covering what you see which is what you get.
