Literally the worst horror game I ever paid for. I wanted my money back for a coffee because at least then I can get scared of having heart problems or even having a good time bec i'm enjoying something (Spoiler warning. Also to be quick i'll kind of bullet punch my issues) -My overall biggest problem with the game was reading "Some choices may alter the game" ok, what can I do. Spent a lot of time and all I could do was open and close doors. What a joke and lie. -The only 2 choices you make that have impacts are leaving the front door (backdoor not tested) open and the child will enter the house and be there at the bottom of the stairs to startle the mc. OR he will knock on the front door if you left it shut. The other choice dependent is the child's hiding spot, under the bed is one ending. Anywhere else, our "friend" finds you. -This game costs $5 but is short and quick and could easily be free or on itch.io where money is optional to give. -The monster wants to play hide and seek. He'll seek. Oh boy, not like I haven't seen that in horror 100 times already! I'm certain it'll be different this time! The atmosphere would be more intense if it didn't play like a buggy game world and the mc is here and talking as though this is the backrooms or still real life and trying to manage to get out. -The child is not scary. He's like a gmod model that's short with buggy eyes and that's the most unsettling thing about him. He's not scary, just unsettling! -The game is WAY too dark and I played with brightness exactly how the notes said to be slightly visible and not visible at all. It is so dark that I couldn't see the floor in front of me. -The trash can in the back is subtle but our mc doesn't take note of how weird it is that a trash can with the lid far off and looking like it was dug through is sketchy. -You could look in the bedrooms with the closets as you're checking the house for any sign of life. But for some reason, you will ALWAYS be right back in the room with absolutely nothing in it but a window. This little thing alone breaks the immersion of being in a house alone by yourself and debating if there is someone else here -This game has the perfect set up for a shadow or something being out of the corner of your eye and popping up in some window of the house from the outside or the inside. IT NEVER DOES SOMETHING INTERESTING LIKE THAT. It'd be fine to do it because that's making you question your imagination or if it's your fear getting to you. But it never does that. -The monster is a cliche joke and looks like one. Like his eyes were taken from some weirdcore art and arms from any 3d model and slapped together in the air to make a monster. He's not scary, he's very simple and not effectively scary. -The endings are boring and a joke. Child survives and looks through the peephole at nothing but where mc ran off. Or we come back and see the child is eaten by the monster in the goofiest way you can imagine. I am not joking with how goofy it looks, its like a bad video game glitch in a game meant to SCARE me. -There is no attic, one of the most unsettling places in a house and there is none. Basement too, instead we just have an empty garage with boxes and 2 machines for clothes I got nothing against the dev besides the price of this game. I came here solely to be scared because i'm a huge fan of indie horror. I left with nothing scaring me except for finding the kid for the first time.
