Bumpy Grumpy rules. Just put it on a screen at a get together and you will be shocked at how many people want to get in and bump it up.

Played a ton of this at MAGFest (Music and Games festival) at the start of this year, and have wanted a home version ever since.
I can't wait to squeeze in a game of Bumpy Grumpy every morning before I drive to my actual job.

I played this game repeatedly at the Louisville Arcade Expo in 2023 and 2024, and have been waiting for this to finally be released to Steam. I am not disappointed! Snappy arcade action, heavy replay value, and a retro feel that is absolutely spot-on. Big fan of the developer, and happy to support Mommy's Best Games. Easy to pick up, a challenge to master.

Very great game even if you try to run a home arcade, neat controls, lots of great optional attributes from bezel art to cheats to CRT Wells Garner inspired screen layout & what not, also very true to its 80s era coin eating arcade inspiration, even though this has a fake lost media of which I do not follow any of at all, other than that this is really great & I would REALLY like to see this game make it to Nintendo Switch, Xbox & PlayStation consoles sometime very soon! I RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ALL ARCADE FANS 100%

ARCADE FANS REJOICE!
Snappy controls. Addictive game play. BUMPY GRUMPY blends right in with the arcade classics of the period it's paying tribute to.

Excellent arcade game. Apparently this is supposed to be a revival of a long lost 1980's game that got remade for the current day. It feels pretty good and not outdated to me, so I guess they did a good job.
This game has you simply dodge drivers and get through the areas but you are encouraged to try to swerve right beside them to get more points. This offers quick precision and reaction time gameplay. It can be addicting to get as many points as possible but you will get killed if you make a small mistake so it's up to you whether or not you'll risk it. You get a plethora of items to boost you or to knock out drivers. Some of them are better than others and they don't spawn very consistently so the game is quite RNG dependent.
You're also encouraged to get your lost papers for work. The amount you get determines what kind of ending you get. They spawn randomly in each of the areas and if you miss one you can't ever get it afterwards. That's fine, but it is quite annoying that on top of the random enemies making it hard sometimes to get them, you also can't reverse even if you're an inch past a paper. This may make getting them a tad annoying if you're trying to get the best ending.
This is an arcade game so there is border art at the sides of the screen. I suggest that you go into the options to select "None" in order to remove the borders and have better visibility. Of course you can keep them if you want to get the more intended experience. The trailer is a tad misleading. There is music in the trailer but none in the game, only sound effects and jingles. This obviously would fit how arcade games are more though so I can't be upset.
Really nice game for the price that it is. Very replayable and all since it is of course an arcadey game. It requires a lot of concentration in order to not die so it's not so much of a relaxing game or something to play while also watching a video, but it still provides enough to keep you entertained.

I first got to play this gem of a game at Magfest 2024. Me and some buddies saw the arcade machine in the indie arcade section while at the con merch tent, we joked about the name because it was eye catching. Next thing i know I was addicted to the game, we were constantly going down at random times at night drunk off our butts playing the game, I got into a high score contest with another player at the con. I would set the high score than he would this went on all weekend. Now I have the game at home and I've already started my climb! Currently number 2 on the leader boards, but I'm going to keep pumping that score up. This game is a high speed high scoring coin munching style arcade classic that would have fit right in at any old arcade. I'm going to keep playing it anytime i have down time, Tell everyone I can about it and heck might even build a physical Cabinet out for my favorite Barcade. If you're not plying this game you're missing out

Awesome 80's arcade game that unfortunately never saw a major release worldwide, Now, in 2024, it's instantly become one of my all time favorites.100% reflex based gameplay with no memorization as enemy and item placement are completely random, Add in the well thought out scoring system and you can easily place BG at the top of the crop for score chasers.
Would of definitely pumped tons of quarters into this cabinet back in 1983.

IF you're not down with Mommy's Best Games, I don't know what to do with you. Bumpy Grumpy has an almost eerie authenticity to it, to where I'd almost expect it's a real emulated arcade machine. The gameplay is simple and hooks you in (I've got three hours in it already) and it really nails the pacing and play-style of the mid 80s arcades (I know, I was there) -- I did go hunting for Cryptids, but I don't think there's much beyond the ??? ending. Don't expect a Frog-Fractions style subversion where it suddenly becomes a dating sim. This is just a simple, honest tribute to gaming's heritage from a genuinely talented and creative demo team, like when a filmmaker makes a black and white silent film with a modern flare. AND IT'S FUN AS FRICK!
