I don't know what the block does, do you? I don't know. I dunno. Hey everybody, I'm here with my good friend, Inspector Gadget. Uh, how're you doing Inspector Gadget? I'm having a lot of fun. So, you wanna do some reviews, Inspector Gadget? I'm better than you are, so I should do the review. Okay, alright, well, Inspector Gadget's gonna do the review. You can shut up now, I'm always on duty! Hmm, do you have that game, "Miney Crafta"? Penny was telling me she was playing it on her computer book. Let's play Miney Crafta! Um, well, I have Minecraft, I think that's probably what you're talking about. Let's try that. Hmm, oh yes, this is it: Miney Crafta! No no no, Inspector gadget, it's called Minecraft. Oh, Minecrap! I cannot wait to play Minecrap. Do you know what my favorite thing to do is in Minecrap? I love building bricks with Minecrap. Building bricks with Minecrap is the best thing and the most amount of fun you can have while playing an app. I understand why all the kids are playing this game these days -- it's because they like to build brown bricks with Minecrap. I also like to build brown bricks with Minecrap. It's the most fun you can possibly have. What is the point of Minecrap? Well, there really is no point. It's a sandbox game. Oh good, I love building sandcastles. No, that just means you can do anything you want like explore, build stuff, and mess around. What kind of stuff can you build? Well, anything, really. There's one guy that built a scale model of the Starship Enterprise. My deduction skills as a detective tell me he has quite possibly, never had sex. Come on, Inspector Gadget, it's about expressing your creativity! But, he is just copying a fake rocket ship blueprint designed by someone else! Seems more like monkey see, monkey do than using creative energy if you ask me. Oh, you think you can do better, huh? I have a robotic implant in my brain that lets me preform 12,000,000,000,000,000 calculations per second. I could rewrite the entire game's code, while helping Penny with her homework, and cleaning up brain's doody, all at the same time! He's a nerd, and I hate nerds more than I hate MAD agents. What asshole! He may not have a powerful cybernetic brain like yours, but I think that the kid used Minecraft in a unique, and complex, yet beautiful way, making the adaptation of---- I told you to shut up, but you didn't listen. Oh look, a free iPad.

This is a love letter to those who grew up watching the Inspector Gadget 1983 animated series and is quite possibly the best Inspector Gadget game ever created! For the Inspector Gadget fan, this game checks a lot of boxes (spoilers below): PROS: The fact that Metro City is an open-world hub that can be explored on foot via Gadget's goofy run animation, by roller/rocket skates and by the iconic Go-Go Gadget copter is so wonderfully nostalgic. The soundtrack is fire and yes, it has the legendary Haim Saban/Shuki Levy composed Inspector Gadget theme song playing on the main menu (which is a new rendition by Jean Chalopin's daughter). The rest of the soundtrack is very reminiscent of Shuki Levy's music on the original Inspector Gadget animated series. The mini games are fun and fairly straight-forward. Playing with friends is definitely the way to go! The overall aesthetic looks like it's straight out of a season 1 episode of Inspector Gadget. The shading on the buildings and object textures all blended very nicely on-screen. The 3D sculpts on each of the characters all look very close to their animated counterparts and are very well done! You can visit Inspector Gadget's house (the cute little New England Cape style house from Season 1) during the single player campaign and can freely explore Metro City. Chief Quimby is blown up multiple times after Gadget carelessly throws the self-destructing secret message his way. CONS: MAD Time Party's single player campaign is a bit on the short side. I was able to complete the game (without repeating any mini games) in a little under 4 hours. No Gadgetmobile! (Dr. Claw's MADmobile is seen very briefly in a traffic crossing mini-game as time runs down to 0) No Maurice LaMarche, Cree Summer or Frank Welker for voice overs (which is a shame). I will always prefer legacy cast members over less expensive (and less talented) voice actors. Chief Quimby's iconic pipe was removed from the final game. I'm not trying to encourage anyone to pick-up smoking but this kind of change to the character is really unnecessary. Brain has a very small part in this game (he occasionally appears on-screen as a still image of him speaking to Penny through her communicator watch. THINGS FANS OF IG WILL LOVE: There's a number of inside-jokes and references made that are from the original animated series (i.e., Quimby accidentally handing Gadget his grocery list instead of the top-secret mission). Professor Von Slickstein makes an appearance as an NPC and so does Gadget's ancestors via Von Slickstein's time-machine (a reoccurring thematic element from Inspector Gadget's second season). CLOSING THOUGHTS: I found iOS and Android files in the game data (so it's likely going to be ported to smart phones in the near future).

This is honestly one of the laziest, dumbest "games" I have ever played. I could refund it, but I won't because I doubt they are selling many copies of this garbage. 1.6 hours to 100%. The only real positive I can give it is the quaint city was mostly nice to look at but there is zero things to actually do. The entire game is going from one point to another to find a minigame to play. That's it. It's a series of minigames and nothing else. There is no real story here as the 4 areas of town are "overrun" by M.A.D. agents but you see nothing of the sort, instead you play minigames against 3 other CPU AIs. 75% of these games are brain dead easy and a small child could easily pass them. Then there are the mindless RNG minigames that are pure luck. Oddly enough if you fail at any of these minigames more than twice, it will allow you to skip them. Which seems odd since these minigames are the entire game so you can just skip the entire game for some reason. Aside from the "game" aspect, almost everything else is bad. The voice acting is awful, the animations are bad, the lighting is broken, there's one song that is nice but does get annoying. What happened here? There is no way this worth more than 3 dollars.
