I would say initially, the game had a lot of promise but as you figure out the systems, there are a few glaring issues. The biggest problem I have with it, is it feels unfinished and abandoned. Few of the ability trees have a second tier once you've obtained all of the traits to expand on the spells... but its only like three of them. Granted there's maybe 12 overall, but spell variety is huge in this genre. It really becomes obvious that for any run you do there's 3 core ability trees you need. The game becomes less about kiting/build crafting and transitions deeply into invulnerability management. And its not hard to get it to where you are unkillable before 5 minutes which makes the rest of the run a bit unfun. But... I really enjoyed the art style, the music, and the character designs. Some were truly unique and have not seen anything like it in other roguelikes (my favorite game genre). For the price, I would say the game is definitely worth playing, but it could be so much more.
