Game is fun and the career mode is funny and has a great skill progression. Controls take a bit of getting used to but very satisfying. Art style is cute and the colors/environment are cozy and vibrant. I have 2 main gripes about the gameplay and hope the dev(s) see this but still highly recommend. When defending there are only 2 players to switch to. in addition to this, if the ball carrier is in front of a defender you're controlling, you cannot switch to your backs to press from in front of the ball handler, rendering you literally unable to play defense. Also it's quite frustrating to pass the ball to your player and the AI runs away from the ball, or is just completely oblivious to it. The gameplay would feel smoother if the AI tracked and went for the ball's path. Having to get the player to also run to the ball doesn't feel great. All in all 8/10 great game!

Nice game with an ok simulation. I cannot demand much from a small game like this although I missed some events regarding players. It has a league sim and a passable story, however I really liked the attempt here. I recommend If you're a football enthusiast and want to support a small dev trying to do something different with football games. Props to them.

Pretty solid arcade soccer/manager game. I played one save on medium difficulty and easily promoted through the 3 leagues. Then I played a save on the hardest difficulty where I only simulated matches and poached players. Was easily able to do both saves in under 10 hours. Worth a try on sale. I will always support indie developers that make cool 8bit games

Bang Average Football is a cracking little game, full of charm, relaxing but with tense moments, and with a lovely sense of humour. The story mode reminds me of Mario Tennis on the GBA, for those who remember it, and doesn't outstay its welcome. The atmosphere is cozy, and most importantly, the gameplay is rock solid. I was a big fan of Sensible Soccer back in the old days, and while the skill ceiling is perhaps not as high, the pace and control feel familiar and very satisfying. It's perfect to wind down after a long day. Recommended!

I have played soccer/football for 21 years. I got into videogames versions of my favorite sport around the age of 15 and started with the traditional FIFA's then PES games. Out of all the present and past depictions of the sport on a virtual level, this is the most wholesome and fun mix of joy I have had ever playing one! The story, the comments from people in the story with their positivity and just finding the root beauty of the game itself. That is all in the game. The only edition I wanted added was a custom database possibility and that is now added too with custom tournaments. The gameplay is intricate but also simplistic. It brought me back to my roots of my love for the sport and even though I have finished the 1.0 story, I know I shall continue to play this game. It has that soul that alot of games have lost over the years in the sports genre. That love for the sport it is depicting and the community aspect surrounding it. I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes sports games and a retro type setting. At the very least the story is worth checking out because of its quirky and fun nature too. Thank you to the developer of this game, it is exactly what I have always wanted to have for a football game.

simple but effective game reminded me of why I like gaming to start pretty addictive with low floor of entry, fun story and funny characters with lighthearted comedy makes this a short but enjoyable experience.

I bought this game, due to FM25 being cancelled. I have seen a Youtuber mention it, probably Zealand. It turned out to be a rather fun and charming game. I liked the visuals and the story are neat. Yes, the jokes are cute too. The management aspect, is not major part of the game, but it was still enjoyable. I have played it for three seasons, and won everything on the first try. The first two seasons on medium, and the rest on hard. I would recommend a similar approach. I would love to play a match against a real person, but I do not know how, if even possible. If it is, let me know. Should the dev be reading this: the game is really charming and has a good foundation. It can get stale after a while, so I hope that you will add further content when able. I played on keyboard, and it was mostly fine, as the controls are few. A minor annoyance is that the players can be a bit unresponsive at times. Also, while the game has difficulty settings, even on hard a mild amount of pressing can destroy the COM. The gameplay itself ran a bit slow for me sometimes, could be my laptop, but the game does not seem to be demanding. Overall, I would recommend the game for retro football fans, or casual players, and would love to try playing against a real player. For now it is a 7-8/10 for me, but I believe that it has potential to be a 9-10/10 game

Just finished my first season, opened transfer market and kicked off the second season. Classic and fluid SWOS style gameplay (with extra buttons available), with a nice little lite-rpg story mode attached. This game is very enjoyable.
