It is basically unplayable. You are started with absolutely no context, it just kinda starts and you are in a random castle for no reason. A nearby NPC speaks spanish only regardless of language selected so I had no idea if that was useful until I translated it myself and no, it wasn't useful. You don't have a weapon or any indication on how to get one. There's some weapons on a nearby table but you can't interact with them except for the bucket of useless arrows because there is no bow. I thought I'd go find a weapon then, but the adjacent castle is completely barren. Not a single item to be picked up in the entire thing. Every room, every staircase, every doorway, leads to an empty room. The knights that populate the area cannot melee attack. Ever. And that's if they aggro at all and don't just walk past. Their follow distance is unlimited, so you will then have a swarm of knights following you around with their shields raised as little pets that can do nothing. But there is no point to going to the castle (or anywhere else) at all, anyways. There is not one item in it and no story motivation or progression involved. The combat itself has seeds of function but its hard to judge. It follows general Souls rules. But there are no parries and no ripostes. It doesn't work very well. Nothing feels very satisfying. The gameplay is not there and the world is worse. It is completely devoid of literally any points of interest because everything is a dead end and an empty way to get there. I ran all over the empty world and found one chest next to a checkpoint. That was the only thing I ever found other than empty rooms and broken enemies. [b] TL;DR: [/b] the game is so bland, broken, and empty, that you can't help but wonder if this is just a desperate cash grab using free assets, or a wild money laundering scheme. particularly with that price tag. it is that bad. basically nothing in the description is included in any way that anyone could bear to get to, if they are in the game at all. If this is somehow a genuine project, I don't meant to be harsh on an independent developer, I hope you keep going, but this is just in no way ready for early access. It's not even ready to be a proof of concept. On top of that, asking 17.99 for this is just insane. There is no way you should be charging for this. If this is the state you [i] really [/i] feel you want feedback on, it should be free. But you don't need feedback yet, you need months and months of continued development before meaningful feedback can even be given.
