This game is so fun. Especially for someone like me who has a million desktop icons.

In its current state, I cannot recommend this game.
Don't get me wrong, the concept is so cool! I had an epic battle between Microsoft Edge and the Recycle Bin. The way your icons sprout arms and legs and battle each other is great.
HOWEVER...
Beyond that, the game is severely hamstrung by its mechanics. There is little to no gameplay. The combat mechanics are simple at best, with clicking a single button doing the majority of the tasks. Winding up for a power attack does little more than simply spam clicking instead. There doesn't seem to be a block function, and movement or healing is never fully explained. Additionally, there is no setting to limit the application to a single monitor; I was streaming the game and noticed that a lot of the action was happening on my second monitor off screen. And if you decide to take on more than one icon at a time, if they get either side of you, they simply stun lock to you death.
As such, unlocking new icon power up types, such as the sword or bow, feel tedious. You simply mash the same button over and over until you've hit a certain number of enemies, then move on. If the game introduced some basic fighting mechanics like guard blocks, dashes, and strong sweeping attacks, or perhaps even special power ups, then the gameplay would feel a lot more rewarding and have significant depth. Simple applications of such concepts like in Stick Fight show that simple games can still be incredibly fun.
I can see the game getting huge, especially for streamers, as they could name icons on their desktop to viewers or subscriber names and run endless mode to see who the last icon standing was, but between the boring mechanics and the way icons respawn in that mode, it is unlikely.
I would love to see some work and TLC put into the game based on some of the suggestions above, and/or a reduction in pricing to reflect the current state of the game. I'd fully endorse a more positive review if more work was put into the game.
