I'm going to preface this by stating clearly: I adore this game. With that being said, the controls are frustrating me to no end! This game reminds me of Moonstone Island a bit. I really like the Pokémon meets Stardew mix and it leads to some really fun gameplay. I think once this game is polished (and its constantly getting updates) it will be a gem of a game I come back to over and over again. The good is basically everything but the controls. I like the story so far (even if it may feel a bit rushed at the beginning). I like the snarky bits and the characters. I LOVE the fact that it auto switches the farm tools you need (though that could use some cleaning up). I think the animal sprites are adorable. I like that you can farm them battle, then farm again and so on. All in all, the positives made me stick through the bad. The bad: I almost refunded it because the controls were just so frustrating! I bought the game when it came out. Controls made it unusable on the Steam Deck (which is where I play my games). Cool. Early access, first day out, bound to be bugs and issues. Kept the game in my library. Came back to it today to find that the controls are BETTER but not very intuitive. I tried adjusting the keybindings. But seriously, how is anyone supposed to know to press LB to even form a swap from one place to another. Even from your bag into a chest. Or pressing the cancel button after choosing something to sell. I fear it may be too convoluted for its own good. I DO recommend this game as long as you can stick it out through the control issues. I imagine that it's only going to get better because the dev seems super responsive and churns out patches frequently. Gotta love it. If you don't think the controls is something you can get over, I highly recommend that you put it on your wishlist or keep it in your library to wait for the full release. Don't pass this hidden gem up.

This game is awesome. It's a really good blend of a monster taming game + farm sim. I stopped playing a few of my Xbox games, because I can't stop playing Chronomon!!

its a cute game, but it feels unnecessarily hard. i dont know if i have just done something wrong, or what, but even the basic "mons" that you fight in the first area can wipe my team. my lvl 12 grass type starter getting 1/2 hp'd by a lvl 3 grass hedgehog thing. i dont think i understnad the turn order either, i will click for my mon to attack and nothing happens and the enemy goes 3x while mine sits there. it takes FOREVER to level up your mons, and the first "boss" was like 7+ levels higher than mine, and unless you want to spend like 5 in game days power farming (because apparently you can only heal your mons when you sleep), its too grindy for me. you also make $0 off anything, and then the XP share is a random shop item that costs you $800 that you could only dream to afford. just too grindy for me, and the controls are pretty buggy where you will try to water your crops and you seem to water the 3rd one away and have to walk a certain way. has potential but as is right now, just not into it.
