I love the whimsy vibes in this. The combat mostly involves bouncing on enemies, which is surprisingly really fun? You might have to learn enemies' attack pattern to not get your ass kicked; it can be challenging but not unfairly difficult. Each zone in the game has a temple that require you to complete different rooms that introduce new challenges, all varied and fresh. I made my iguana yellow and I love them.

What a delightful game, I have just started playing it but I love the cute little protagonist. I am looking forward to meeting more of the inhabitants and am proud of my Iguana heritage.

First off, the art and animations are GORGEOUS. I love this style! Second, the game just feels really good to play. Difficult boss fights aside, the combat's really cool, and the key stages (+ collecting the keys!) were a great highlight. Only thing I can mention is that I never really used duck to guard unless in very very specific cases, even with an upgrade to my guard, but that might just be because i'm not much for strategy :P

Packed to the brim with neat puzzles and challenging bosses! A world that isn't all that big, but holds plenty of secrets, hidden pathways, and a structure that has you grow really familiar with the playful spaces. Getting to customize your character and talk to fun NPCs for hints was a pleasure!

Really good game that lets you raise your claw level, find keys, and be poisoned!!

Two words to sum up the gameplay: Simple and Intuitive. Everything simply makes sense, the puzzles, the enemies, the patterns. You just need some patience and you can pull on through. If you try to rush through the game or get impatient, expect to fail a few times at some of the bosses and challenges. I've only played through 47% of the game, and I'd say it is worth $5 for a sweet charming game. Especially if you want your kids to try something harder, but not too hard. Also the iguana customizer is pretty fun to use. You can even use it to modify the size of your hitbox (for better or for worse).

IguaRPG is VERY lo-fi, stripping down action-RPG concepts to their absolute basics (overworld maps are a few screens, dungeons are three mini-challenges). This is what makes it excellent: it's a short experience (reminiscent of Ys 1, which has similar combat) that is still very challenging and demanding. Anyone sick of grinding for EXP and coins should play this game

just finished it and had a great time :> it's a pretty awesome and unique game! you can create a cute or threatening iguana *and* there's some really cool bump combat involved with a ton of great bosses. the areas are rather small scale so that actually makes exploring it all to get to secrets pretty fun.

This a wonderful and very charming little game! First of all, the paint style retro graphics are very cute, the player iguana is extremely customizable and looks delightful. The NPCs and enemies have a quite varied visual and sound design. The music is also diverse and fits the setting. Overall, the presentation of this game is fantastic, I could not stop smiling, it is sincere and goofy in just the right way. The gameplay is split between normal exploration and combat, boss fights and different short and specific combat and platforming challenges in special rooms. Boss fights can be quite challenging and the player has to learn the moveset of each boss, which gets more expansive and faster as the fight goes on. Normal enemies are a bit more simple, but you still need the right approach to defeat them without taking damage. The combat is good and deeper than I expected. The reward for exploration and combat are usually gems, which you spend on improving your damage and health, buying powerful consumables and paying for healing. An effective and simple gameplay loop that doesn't overstay it's welcome. if you want to spend an afternoon playing a delightful game with a unique style and involved combat and platforming, IguaRPG is highly recommended.
