I very hesitantly do not recommend this game, though it's for some reasons that are kind of nitpick-y and niche problems I have specifically that you might not. I thought I would like it, I felt like it was a good choice for me with how positive the reviews were and it seemed designed well on the surface in a genre I am very familiar with and enjoy a lot, but the UI was too cluttered, text was too small, and colors too low contrast for me to stand playing this for very long. I have visual processing issues and this game just was not compatible with them, especially with how much reading and dialogue is in it-- the text was the worst part for me to get through. I couldn't really tell where I needed to be going and what could or couldn't be toggled or not because there were no pop ups indicating to do so. The tutorial felt rushed adding insult to injury, it just tells you to go out and do something with no helpful explanations or visually showing you how to do it. It got to the point where I couldn't really tell what the game was even about or what the goal was. I also did not like the way the controls felt in game, and how the game's mechanics and flow felt overall. Some reviews had similar feelings but continued to push through and eventually figured it out. I liked the quest book style though and I love genetics, farming, and management sims. I feel like the style visually was almost reminiscent of old school RPGs on the GBA but plays like a Minecraft modpack. Maybe if I had more patience I would have pushed through and eventually gotten the hang of it. I don't have that patience right now though nor the want to punish myself when there were other games I was more interested in playing. There are a lot of other games on the market right now that are very similar but with better UI/UX and aren't so irritating.

Muborne was the first game that i met, a lot of people talk about playing Apico first, but i played the demo and only then i discovered the first game (also a masterpiece and highly recomendable). I waited a long time (a lot of cute dev logs haha) and was totally worth it. The game is cozy, but also challenging, it's funny, i love the diaries entries and all the little details about the frogs personalities and patterns and everything that makes them unique. It's well thought out. I love the art and the music, it completes the ambience and the regions. It's really cool to discover new frogs and see they inhabiting the world. Congratulations to the dev and everybody that made this game possible! It's lovely, has a powerful message and i loved the plot. What a concept! I can't wait to see the next game. Can't say i 100% apico tho, so maybe i'll comeback to that, The comunnity in the guides and in the discord and even the dev himself is very helpful too, to the completionists or to those who just felt that the difficulty was not to it's liking, Gather around this other froggers and they for sure will help you a ton. I trully recommend this game, froggers. It's cute, it's challeging and has a great story all around. Amazing music and art and an even more amazing concept very well executed.

This game is absolutely cozy. I love the calming atmosphere and the creative frogs that you can find and create. The whole game oozes charm and I love it so unbelievably much for that. I have no doubt in my mind that this has been on of the best, if not THE best game I have played all year. If you are ever looking for a relaxing time, I implore you download this and give it a try. Thank you for the amazing experience, I can't wait to see what TNgineers puts our next :D

This game is so inexpensive despite how much thought clearly went into every bit of it. Although I'm still in the early game, it's very peaceful to play. :)

So cosy and cute, from the visuals and music to the actual gameplay. Was so pleased I could bring my demo save across to the game when I bought it!

Its an exploration sim and a hybrid of mushroom farming and frog farming sim as well. Lots of puzzles that require brain work, and lots of mechanics, both really simple ones and really complex ones. It takes a lot to master this game, it is a lot of work, learning, and exploring, on top of needing to repeatedly re-explore areas for all the hidden secrets and new possibilities as one progresses through the game. I enjoyed this game, but this game isn't for everyone. It is however, worth it for people who love frogs, bugs, and mushrooms, a lots of them.

This is certainly not what I was expecting. I was expecting Stardew valley but with frogs, perhaps a farming game where instead of crops you raise gigantic herds of frogs, and there is some of that in here but what this game primarily ended up being was a genetics based math puzzle game. Its still fun and well made, and the frogs are very cute but its not exactly what I was hoping for. Theres also a ton of reading which is often required to progress in the game and that sorta slowed things down. All in all this is a very middle of the road game with a cute frog theme.

Initially it's hard to figure out what the game's supposed to be played like, a big part of it is the exploration, so the best advice to give would be to not build your home base in the starting area, a central hub gets unlocked later, so don't build up too much in the beginning because you're going to be moving your base soon enough.

Got Mudborne thanks to my love for the dev's other game, Apico. I love both, but Mudborne improves a lot on the shared mechanics. I really enjoyed that the mushroom math didn't really leave offspring results up to chance, and that a lot of the late-game perks make 100%'ing the game very enjoyable. If you like cute frogs, puzzles, and a good plot, this game is for you. Also I'm #1 Chauna fan. I wish I had endless shiny things to give them.
