This DLC is so fun and immersive. So far I spent about 50 hours on this map and have barley scratched the surface. I love the new story. I think starting with the checkpoint is fine. It is a challenge compared to starting with a river pier but not overwhelming. I do wish the game would tell you if the gang is coming to rob you vs take over your properties because fighting increases terror. So balancing loyalty and terror becomes a little cumbersome. I like the new gang characters and abilities they breath new life into the game and narrative. The unbuildable areas add a extra level of challenge and planning. The new levels of money laundering really help set a balance with money washing. I love the new mechanics for the capos and learning how to balance and use them. It seems like building for example a charitable organization gives you better loyalty boosts. I would like it if a member wants a hospital and I already built a hospital it should count instead of building another hospital just for a loyalty bonus. I don't think this is a reskin of a map. It is bigger and there are islands and planning the growth is way different. on the first map it felt a lot easier to grow something and build up wealth then take over. Here it feels like you have to decide which crops are most valuable because space is limited. when it comes to "new dialogue" they got from discord I mean the story is new but its basically the same lines when doing gang allegiance which is fine, but i thought there be new events and dialogue to go with those events. I like in story the fill or kill, but i feel like it could be improved with new events beside the story. TLDR: Buy this DLC!! Support the developers and hopefully we get more content.

in my opinion the game is good but new drug lines and buildings always spice up games and keeps it fresh. liking the new ferry ports idea, options to build a river pier and more ferry ports in game could be considered in my opinion

Overall recommended. Really long campaign, which could feel a bit bogged down with chores at times. The map is big. Almost too big. Fun regional specialties. If you like the original game and have played through the campaigns and a sandbox or two, I'd say this is a worthy pickup.

Gets a lot of hate like so many DLCs. The biggest critique that I've seen is that this "just adds another map" for half the price of the original game. First off, it adds another campaign. That means a lot of writing, coding, etc. Second, the map is as big as the first, meaning different starting positions, resource distributions, and NPC placements. All of this goes into making "just another map" a distinct experience. I got it on sale. Like with all games and DLC, it's best if you get it on sale. But I think there is enough here to justify the price point. Sometimes I think people are negative because 1.) its kitsch to ♥♥♥♥ on something 2.) they're lazy and it's easier to ♥♥♥♥ on something than to actually weigh its merits and 3.) they only looked at the surface and obvious. P.S. - Cartel tycoon does have problems, and this DLC is no different. The new major mechanic, ferries, are still a mystery to me. I have no idea how to use them. I think you have to own two and connect them. But why would I do that? They seem a more tedious way of transferring resources than the original methods available - so why would I bother? I don't know, it's weird. Still, a new map, a new campaign, new things to do. It serves its function.

Well, where to start. Just a map and not really a good one. if in the first map you had a lot of option to devellop more or less the way you want and search to optimized as you want. here it's meeh. Except one drugs it's not interesting to go to something else and then all you do is rush to an harbour, pack dried cannabis in coffee or quinoaand that's it. This map is simply not finished and even if they update 2 3 thing from the original game it definitly do not worth it.

Dear developers. I'm sorry, but I have to give one of my favorite games a negative rating. I've been waiting for an endless amount of time for the San Rafaela DLC, only to be disappointed after a short while! Despite the effort and several new features, half of the content is just copied content from the first map. The same faces, the same tasks, the same interviews that I have seen and completed 300 times before. I really like this game, but if the vision for the future is to create a DCL for half the price of the base game, where basically a new story and a few extra things are added, then I'd rather uninstall the game. Well thank you.
