Very fun and mindless, but you will also get hooked and not want to stop playing. 7/10 would recommend.

Too many difficulty spikes and too many different levels requiring builds of a certain variety. For every level you can pass with anything, there is another around the corner that requires something ultra specific. I gave this game several chances, with several patches, but this game is just a hassle.
Wack hit boxes, annoying ass level design, and unlockables being a pain, all come together to form a tedious contraption.

The game can be fun but difficult. This would be just fine if the difficulty wasn't frame drops and chunking in a bullet hell game. Hopefully that patch it up soon. Started seeing first big FPS dips in level 4 and 5. I did not press forward since I didn't find a bullet hell slide show to be fun. Will revisit on updates, but for now I can't recommend.

This game is disappointing for a number of reasons. It has been released for two years now and has yet to see any meaningful Quality of Life updates and the amount of memory it uses is a nightmare.
If your computer ware is more than 2 years old, don't bother installing this as you'll make it past the first 5 levels and begin to slow down with the number of enemies and projectiles on the screen.
Somehow other games are able to make it work, just not this one. I'd gladly change this to a recommended if the game were to receive something addressing the slow downs.
(Arachnid is a fun stage for what its worth, but the amount of spiders spawned kills my Computer before it could ever kill me)

After 11.1 hours of gameplay and earning 51% of the achievements, here's my honest take on Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot:
📝 TL;DR:
I gave this game a thumbs-up, but only because there's no middle-ground option. Slime 3K has some neat mechanics and level variety, but it doesn't grip me like other games. I mostly play it when I'm bored and want to chase achievements, not because I'm particularly invested.
🧪 Gameplay:
Slime 3K blends action, strategy, and deck-building in a quirky, chaotic environment. While the mechanics are functional, they never quite hit that fun sweet spot for me.
🌍 Level Variety:
The game does feature a few unique levels, each with its own set of challenges. These differences keep the gameplay from feeling entirely repetitive, but they don't add enough depth to keep me fully engaged.
🃏 Deck-Building Aspect:
I'm not a fan of games with deck-building mechanics, and Slime 3K leans into this quite a bit. For players who enjoy that genre, it might hit differently, but for me, it feels more like a grind than a feature.
🎯 Final Verdict: A decent time-waster if it's already in your library. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either—just a middle-of-the-road experience with some achievement-hunting appeal.

A fun deckbuilding Vampire Survivors clone that I had to admittedly shelve and stop playing immediately after buying because the gameplay turned me off. It wasn't until I buckled down and play Vampire Survivors that I was able to appreciate a bit more how the gameplay progression works in this game.
Definitely for not everyone but great for fans of action arcade roguelites, horde games, deckbuilders and Vampire Survivor clones. Emphasis on action arcade roguelite, if you don't like replaying the same difficult levels over and over... Stay away, otherwise hop on board brother.

Lovely art and animation, but the awful colour scheme needlessly complicates the combat by making it hard to tell anything apart at a glance, which is essential in the genre.
The game also lacks any form of meta progression other than unlocking new cards.
