It's a simple and short game... more of a story-telling game than anything that requires insane skills like a Darksouls. But I really enjoyed this, because it's different to what I normally play and it still challenged my wits. There is some really deep messages there and if you know german culture, even a few jokes that will get you loughing aswell as them playing with stereotypes all over. I never had any bugs and it would have some replayability for some different endings. If you save frequent you might not need to restart from scratch all the time. Only thing I disliked is how obvious they need to make it that some media institution and the german Bundestag is supporting that project... I mean.. they need to. If the devs are german this is the literal only good game that came from german devs in a while. The other stuff is filled with bugs and loughable, meanwhile anyone else is producing AAA Games. So yea, thanks for not making a buggy mess guys <3

I almost finished all the content of the game in less than 10 hours, still I do not regret buying this game even if it's somewhat short for its price. The atmosphere is great, the music is great (sometimes a bit too loud), the artstyle is great, the story is simple but immersive, the gameplay is fun and unique ... this game is overall great and I'm surprised by how few people tried it.

This game is a solid 8/10 What can I say? The game is short. Though it pulled me in and gave me a moment to get used to the world. The mechanics are simple mouse and click with some keyboard. At times though the movement made me sick. (Slightly lessen bloom and shake in the settings.) Its simple but satisfying to be looking around and see the distance and polishing put in to the game. The world. I love it. The characters and choices for everything seemed so fluid and eventful that it didn't seem unnatural. Quite the opposite. Natural. A little exploration and freedom to explore as you please but seemed tied down to the characters life made this game so investing that I made choices to ignore and even pushed some stupidity into the mix that influenced the games ending drastically. The ending. I am happy with my choices but it the choices really do matter. A missed quest here or a failed event. It makes you feel like you could have done more. I won't be replaying not because of the game play but because it was so good to see my choices and accepting that this is the world that was made because of me. A story that was well written and enjoyable right to the end. (Except the boss.I hated him.)

Especially these days, it's common for a game to overstay its welcome. This is one of the cases of the opposite, where a game is good and checks out far too early. The gameplay loop is fun, if a little simple. Deciding who gets to come in or not and evaluating guests is a good time and works fairly well, the writing is clever, the art style isn't complex but it works for what it is. I did enjoy it. The problem is that there's just not a lot there. It has side quests, but the only real reason to do any of them is to get the desired ending. You get money from some of them, but it's pretty much useless. You don't do anything with it except use it for an ending or to do one or two side quests, but as long as you don't screw up your job, you'll have plenty left over. The club has an upgrade system which is cool, but from what I can tell it does basically nothing except increase the club's rating, which in turn does nothing at all as far as I know. I'm not sure what happens if you fail to get the required rating each night, maybe it's game over, but it's so easy to tell who should and shouldn't be allowed in that unless you fail on purpose, there's no chance of you not getting the rating you need. There are outfits (and no outfit) which is fun, but none of them do anything, you rarely see them outside of the menu and the brief glimpse of Nill you get when the queue starts, and they don't carry over to new games so by the time you get them all, the game is over. They don't have to be game changing, but maybe having more special dialogue depending on your outfit, or your footsteps sounding different based on what you're wearing, or having some small bonus like being able to move faster in the minigames or taking less damage would be nice. There's also no point to being naked except getting the hermit to come to the club and a few small changes to dialogue that don't change anything and that Nill doesn't respond to, not even clever comebacks. When the guy by the laundromat says "I won't ask why you're not wearing clothes" Nill could say something like "this coming from the man who never wears a shirt", or when the laundromat lady is like "oh you must be in desperate need of clothes!" Nill could sarcastically respond with "actually no. I'm trying to start a movement to put you, personally, out of business". The only major change is your boss refusing to let you work until you get dressed. It feels like if that's an option the game explicitly gives you, then it should do something or make a meaningful change, same with the outfits because you almost never see Nill anyway, so what's the point in having the option to dress up or dress down? The leveling and upgrade system has the same problem: there's basically no point to it and it really doesn't do anything for you. Upgrading your skills lets you do a few things here and there, but it's not really needed at all aside from making things just slightly easier, and there are so few that you'll max out your skills by about night 3 or 4 anyway, making any further levels and xp you get literally useless. As far as bugs go, I don't think I encountered any at all even though it's a common complaint in the reviews. Either I was lucky or they've managed to patch most of them out. Obviously, it's possible there are things I've missed but I think I've seen almost all of it. The good parts are really good. The music and characters are all done very well. The gameplay itself is fun, it's just incredibly simple. The story is fine, but as I said it ends entirely too quickly. Just when you're starting to get into it and get used to everything, the game is over. Maybe a sequel to this could work where this game's systems are expanded on and Nill is running or bouncing for a new club. Overall, worth a play especially on sale, and it's clear effort was put into the game. I just feel like certain things could have benefited from a bit more effort.
