Needs a...
(see publisher) Game Is: A mix of slice-of-life and full-dive virtual RPG, in the vein of Mega Man Battle Network.

[+] The story and presentation are very charming, the relationship between the real town and the virtual game world helps to keep both interesting. [+/-] The scenes are well put together, I didn’t find them all that titillating but I respect their commitment to the style it was going for. [+/-] The full-dive combat is simple RPG-Maker stuff but the game’s context surrounding this does make it a bit more interesting to go through. [-] zoomed-in camera + isometric perspective + stiff RPG-Maker grid movement + tall character models = very clunky world navigation.

Summary: It’s a charming attempt at the Battle Network formula and has a lot of work put into it’s scenes but the experience is kinda soured by the really clunky character navigation. Tip: Press F4 to toggle Fullscreen.

Boku no Hikaru/10 The game requires uncensored patch from the Otaku Plan site and it comes with both base game and DLC. Personally the game is really enjoyable. Plot is kinda interesting to alternate between real and VR world. The battle is not really complicated and most importantly the grind is not tedious. BGM is kind banger in some of the scenes. For H part, pixelated H scene doesn't really bother me. Some of the important scenes are voiced and animated. You can also have harem or NTR route depends on your preference, For DLC, it is recommended to play it after you finish the main story as it contains some spoiler from the base game ending. Your level will also reset back to 1 and you will need to farm the gears for new team mates and yourself again. But you still can carry over your inventory over from the base game so it is recommended to save the game file before the final battle and proceed to the DLC so you can have enough money to do the gacha for gears in DLC. Personally i feel like DLC is the one carry the game the most as it allows you to have
3p, oyakodon, seggs with your own mom, and most importantly say gex.
Played on Steam Deck, works fine. You need to run the patch with steam proton. I wanted to enjoy this game more but my problem is how clunky the game feels. In terms of overworld, it resembles Summer/Winter memories. The Overworld sprites look a bit too goofy, with movement being too slow. And the plot is predictable and a bit too generic. The redeeming features of the game are the art and the battle system. Good luck to those of you that will tough if out for the juicey scenes.

No way in hell does this game deserve such a high score or even praise of any kind. All of these product received for free shills are doing everyone a disservice by outright lying to you! Here's the real state of this dumpsterfire of a game. First of all, the premise starts as interesting enough. A pseudo Sword Art Online type deal, minus being stuck in the virtual world by force. But after the main introductory part it soon becomes evident just how shallow and repetitive everything truly is. The combat is typical turn based, except that all characters have powerful AoE abilities, even the healers... because reasons. Convenience, I guess? A matter of laziness maybe? It doesn't matter though because all the maps are the exact same boring empty corridors with a bunch of useless trash mobs that die in 1 or 2 turns. No H events with those in case you were wondering. The movement is super clunky and awkward and the main maps outside of the virtual world are both small all devoid of anything meaningful. A small town of 5 or so houses, 1 for each party member and the MC. A school with 2 rooms, and the virtual world with the boring corridors that start appearing after the starting forest area, each with a different color for variety's sake I suppose. The translation ranges from mediocre to awkward, and outright painful to read at times. Many ability names are butchered such as Chaos Cross being named Chaos Clothes, Nova Burst is called Nova Breast (I wouldn't mind if this was the original name), and The Big Bang is The Big Ban. There are others too, these are just a few that I remember. The MC's choice words during H events are nutting, likely not an accurate translation because at times he uses a typically more common term we all know of. There was also an instance or two of some meme, but I already forgot what it was. Maybe the dev himself added it, so I won't blame them for it. It was still pretty cringe though. The interactions between the main cast are all unfathomably shallow and feel completely meaningless. Everyone's in love with the MC for no reason whatsoever, and he happily reciprocates. Even with random men. Why the hell not, I suppose? If you're not gonna write them in depth, might as well add more characters and create more 20 second long H scenes with no relevant buildup whatsoever. Speaking of which... yes, you read that right. They're that short and they follow very similar patterns with all the female cast. If I'm not mistaken, and frankly I wouldn't be too upset with myself if I was, it goes from kissing to oral, followed by vaginal and ending with anal. They're all short and truly meaningless. You even get a ding and an achievement after seeing them! Wowzers! Oh yeah, did I mention that it was still censored? But I suppose that isn't too much of a detriment considering that the game already is comprised of pixel art. The voice acting, art and animations, are hit or miss. Some are done well, some look even rather gorgeous, but on average they aren't anything special or satisfying. The MC is voiced by a husky sounding woman, but that's somewhat the norm in anime anyway. The issue is that various character lines do repeated 180 degree turns during H events, 5 seconds ago complaining how they hate it, and suddenly they're in love with their partner and want more. Considering that the scenes last typically a mere 20 seconds each as already mentioned, this all becomes quite a spectacle to behold. And for the cherry on top I have to mention the bugs too. There are a few, some outright game breaking as well. A character sprite from the NTR route appears in the vanilla one. It's possible to walk out of bounds and even get stuck in places or enter an infinite event loop by this way interacting with some invisible object. I'm sure there's other stuff too, how could there not be? But I don't intend to find out. Although it doesn't redeem it, the music is probably the best part of the game. Some tracks are pretty good. I rate this game... I could've spent money on gacha instead/10 I'm not even mad. It was so bad that I actually laughed at times.
