Last Dream Fishing Arcade Reviews

I've been struggling to write a review for Last Dream Fishing arcade, but what I'm trying to get at is that they call it a Fishing RPG and they really mean it. It's not just because it's got stats and equipment and abilities and characters, it's that the game actually lets you use all of these tools together strategically to push the boundaries of what your stats say you should be able to catch. It really feels like fighting an enemy who's level is higher than me in an RPG. I think that's very neat. The core loop is simple, yes. Upgrade base stats to catch bigger fish to upgrade base stats to catch bigger fish. But when I'm fighting a big fish and cash in my stored up Overdrive to use buff and debuff skills, synergizing with the items I have equipped and the potions I drank and the character I picked's unique ability. Carefully reeling in the fish over the course of a full minute lest I hold a button a bit too long and snap the line, and finally catch the fish and it's worth 10x what any other fish I've ever caught has been worth. Yeah I like Last Dream Fishing Arcade! I think I'll play it again soon.
