a solid demo, but not really worth a full purchase. it uses AI art, and despite the name SCP monsters are almost never there the majority of enemies are soldiers, and your squad becomes godlike after a mission or two actual tactics dont have to factor that much into it. lack of gear character uniqueness means, despite the 4 different weapons, they all look sound feel the same. definitely pass on this one 🙏

Well, this is more of a tech demo than a real game. In its current form the game isn’t even worth playing. [list] [*] There are only 4 missions, 70% of said missions are just running through a corridor to the next combat, 20% is reading poorly written dialogues/logs and only 10% is combat. And this whole game will only take 3 hours to finish, so you aren’t getting much of the “tactical combat” overall. [*] Said combat is laughably shallow and easy. You only have 4 guns to choose from, those guns have no abilities apart from just shooting, and double pistols are the best guns judging by stats so your whole squad will be using those. Apart from moving and shooting you can use grenades in combat - but their damage is almost the same and the enemies never stay close enough for AOE. The AI of the enemies is so bad that they will ignore the closest character without cover and do whatever just to drag time. At least your party becomes overpowered fast and no combat lasts more than a round or two, including the final boss one. [*] RPG elements. This is the reason why your fights will become insanely easy: your operatives are the only entities in the game that scale. After the first mission you will go from 4-6 starting AP to 12 and covering half of the map in one turn - and your enemies will still have the same HP and one attack per round, so even when you are outnumbered - you will still shoot more and harder than your enemies. [*] SCP content. Despite the name you will not really see much of those - 95% of enemies are just dudes with guns, the other 5% are insanely dull enemies with 1 attack that die easily to bullets and pose zero threat to your team. [/list] Overall, the game is extremely short and yet manages to be horribly dull due to lack of any meaningful content in it.
