I am LOVING this game!! Cant wait to see what all the new update has in store for us. Super cozy game that still keeps you engaged. I would love to see some creatures/pets involved in the game in the future possibly?(unless I just haven't progressed far enough in the game lol!)

This game absolutely owns. It's so much fun and is honestly one of the only 'cosy' games that is properly relaxing. Instead of stressing yourself out over how to perfectly optimise your farming plots and crop output in most sims, there is absolutely no pressure with the tasks given to you in this game, but there is still plenty to do. Honestly one of my favourite things is just allowing the train to idly chug along to its next destination, because it gives me a minute to do a couple stitches in my crochet while waiting. Of course, it's still easy to fill that baby up with coal non-stop if I wanna get somewhere ASAP. TL;DR - this game is fantastic and I can't wait to see what new updates come to the game in the future

i find the game enjoyable so far but disappointing in the lack of an open world... the massive amounts of loading screen segregating portions of the map seems over kill considering the tiny size of each part and makes the train rides feel like an interoperable loading screen. i like the idea it wants to go for but god damn did i wish it was open world where you can see the legitimate environment through out the train ride. if you ever make a sequel, please make it open world and i guarantee i'd pay for it

While the game is competently made, it suffers from 2 major flaws. The first is the "build grid" nature of the train, which has quite a clunky UI and it is really hard to do anything from moving large amount of resources to place them to settle things around. This could be overlooked if the game was offering something more in depth in terms of story and places to visit, but sadly that is problem number 2 The second big limitation this game has is due to its simplistic nature. While it tries to be Animal crossing of some sort, which in part does succeed thanks to a clean graphics and well made coherent looks), it lacks depth. The cities to visit are nothing more than few zones to explore, with invisible walls everywhere. Interactions are limited to talk, take the person to the train for a ride and side quests. Nothing much deeper than that. The story is good and inspiring but has really 0 traction unless you care about environment, and could be sustained if the main game loop was good, which is not as it is very simplistic. You get a train, you put charcoal in the furnace (so go back to the tender to get charcoal and bring it to the loco), then ensure that your train boiler temperature is in a range and pull a lever, after selecting a destination. Could not be more barebone than that. Not expecting a train simulator, but driving the train could have been an option, as you could be a conductor or the engineer. Why not driving the train? To give you the gameplay as the train drives itself and you talk to the people onboard. Again, very simplistic and could be done before leaving or after arriving at the station, as interactions are limited to give them a beverage/snack or talk to them. And that's all you do in the game: pick a destination, pull a lever, talk to people to take them from A to B. Sometimes you have parcels and they go in the train from a pickup station, to a drop-off station... Once again barebone. The villages are basically small areas with not much to do; it is not as large as an island maybe but it is very limited and considering those are areas totally distinct from each other, I don't get why not making interesting locations where you actually do something beside talk to few people there, clean up trash/liquids and pick up resources. The game show much potential but it is like an extended demo sadly, or it was made for people that have literally no intention to put any effort in a game, like young kids. It is relaxing, sure, but there are 1000 games with the cozy tag, and what made this game different was the lovely graphics and setting, and the fact you drive a train. But the implementation is really basic and may only fit a sub genre of cozy gamers that look for a very simple and streamlined experience. If you like that, it is a great game, but it has nothing to keep you hooked once you do the game loop for few hours, and instead it could have been a great game. 5 out of 10 for me; get it on sale or if you have young kids.

This is a really relaxing game where you are the conductor and driver/mechanic of a steam train. The game is somewhat simplistic in the handling of the steam locomotive which actually helps the gameplay. The only real issue I have is that the coal wagon is on the back of the train and that they haven't decided to go for something like a corridor tender. The characters are all very adorable. Yes, the game can get very repetitive with the various people and parcels that can be delivered, but that is also kind of the charm of this game. You can just chill drive a steam locomotive, deliver packages and people and continue through the story line unlocking new areas to visit and explore. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a relaxing experience.

A little amazing cozy steam train adventure, with lots to discover across the towns! Highly recommend picking the game up, it's criminal how little people I see trying it out! (Some more guides for the game would be highly appreciated)

This is a nice and simple game to pick up if you are a fan of progression-centered and design-centered gameplay. The main storyline has enough "sidequest" style activities to participate in that there are things throughout the map to consistently interact with. The customization of both the train as well as all the furniture that goes into the train is incredible. The only cons that this game has is that the gameplay loop can feel a little back-and-forth/fetch quest-y once you get to the midpoint of the game. This is the exact type of game that I enjoy booting up when I have a stream/movie on as a secondary focus.

I really love the art style and the overall concept it's super charming and unique. But there are definitely some things that could be better. The Character customization is so adorable to begin with, and he gets different outfits later. You can’t adjust the point of view, which makes placing items kind of annoying since your character gets in the way. The mouse and keyboard controls feel a bit clunky, and inventory is a huge issue. Items only stack up to 4 and there's just not much space to store anything, which gets frustrating fast. Despite that, I still enjoyed playing it. The vibe is great and it’s clear a lot of love went into it. Just be ready for some small quality-of-life things that might get in the way. I'm also not super far into the game so this can totally get better with future storage solutions.
