UPDATE JUNE 15, 2025: - Game not updated, - Posts in Discussions unanswered: - No support, bugs in level 11 unfixed, abandoned. - ( Will change recommendation only if game updated ). *********** POST BELOW IS OLD, COULDN'T FINISH THE GAME, PATIENTLY HOPING I COULD SOME DAY. I enjoyed this game very much, loved it really, being a dungeon crawler nut. Even if I'm stuck now in level 10 of 12, as I can't find the Red Key to go on to level 11, I call it a win. Glad to have it in my library. - Decide minding these points: Dont put keys or quest items in the 3 quick slots, you may lose them, but put them *always* in your inventory. Example: you have a key in inventory. Click the corresponding lock with left mouse button, gate opens. No need to grab the key, it wouldn't work. - Saving: just 1 click on the chosen slot, not on the SAVE circle. Doesn't show a change, but the circle will disappear in seconds: close the save pop up, open again, and the correct date and hour will now show ok. - Rar/Zip backup your saves when you used all save slots before overwriting old ones: C:\Users\*your user*\AppData\LocalLow\Dreaming WIzard Games\Dungeon Legends 2 No problem that it can't save the log, Ignore it, I used backups twice and the game was perfectly restored both times. - Steam Key Layout Remap: Cant remap "F" key even if no apparent use assigned. - A very few open side passages to caves aren't shown in the map, that gets bordered in grey when you pass by. If you didn't look their way, you think there is nothing there. - Level 4 floating: Progress saving a lot: steam bug: in only 2 or 3 places, hero could float. Reload last save: didn't happen again in the area affected. No biggie. - Level 9: Foes Stuck In Place instead of attacking you. Quit, reload from end of previous level resolved the matter. Maybe better if you save ending each level, quit, relaunch the new level fresh. - Level 10 errors, relaunched from previous level end and they where again on the same places: Always slots from start slot : 10 south, 16 west: trapped foe inside wall. And 2 squares east joined by its vertices in the map, map doesnt correspond to game walls. Red key where ? - Lastly, January 4, 2025, and it's been exactly 10 months ( ! ) since the developer stopped answering the gamers questions in Discussions. Worrying. Spoilers: I'm a slow 69 y.o. gamer, so I use my own Cheat Engine tables. -- Health, Magic, Attributes values in game are FLOAT. Find Health remaining address. You can freeze it ticking the square for it. If you add 10 hex to the tens hex digit (2nd digit from the right) the new address is Health Max. You can then modify both to a bigger value. Same applies to Magic. Etc. -- Experience, Skill Points, are 4 Bytes Exact.

Feels like an oldschool classic with an AI twist - speaking with NPC is kinda innovative. Giving the low price you might give it a shot and have some fun :)

A dungeon crawler RPG game with some quite reasonable elements and some not so good elements. It takes an hour or so to get use to the mechanics and quirks of the game and its game play. The atmosphere and sound effects and exploration are quite good, and the character progression system is basic but OK. The combat system is just about adequate. The "puzzles" are simple. The reason I gave the game "Not Recommended" is that it became unplayable due to serious software bugs around Level 4. No matter what I tried I kept floating off the floor or falling through the floor - like being in an uncontrollable flight simulator - to be delivered completely outside of the dungeon area !!! I think this is due to the game having serious programming errors and not being corrected / patched by the developer. I do not think it is my computer (Windows 11) causing the problem as a few other people seem to have had similar problems. However, on the plus side the game is very cheap and it gave me about 8 hours of game play, which in general was OK, before it become unplayable. UPDATE Since my earlier review I have played an additional 10 hours and by re-loading saved games have managed to get past the dungeon level 4 where I repeatedly either fell through the floor or floated upwards through the ceiling !!! Despite all its problems this is a reasonable dungeon crawler with some fairly decent role playing elements and I actually started to enjoy the game after getting passed the above mentioned dungeon level. However, there are quite a few software bugs including critical items (keys) that disappear from your inventory forcing you to re-load a saved game. (It is best to save the game once you start a new level and do not overwrite until you have completed the level.) I can understand why this game has received quite a few negative reviews !

Terrible! Graphics are poor, swinging a weapon feels weird, too many barrels on the ground with noting of value in it, fights are boring...

A fun game, it could do with a bit more variety in barrels and chests but it's not bad.

The game is indeed old school dungeon crawler with a modern skin. It plays nicely and the atmosphere is very good. The dungeon is fun to explore. The combat takes some gettin' used to but it works. Just hate missin' attacks. I also like that it features voice over work. I have yet to get a taste of the magic. In due time. Very good stuff for 10 bucks.
