Seemed funny and looked like it might be entertaining, but I feel like I'm barely a participant in the game—the player doesn't even have a character of their own. We hardly make any choices at all, and we don't pick any of our dialog options. You're just occasionally directing a detail about whether the edgy high school girl is skipping class, where she goes, what she steals at the mall, etc. Then you watch lonnnng minutes of the characters interacting with no input from you.

I completed and honestly a bit messed up..... Honestly I don't know most of what the game was talking about since I'm still in school but yeah it was cool. I hope the game content is longer. Because I feel like this game is to expensive. 9/10 Reminder: If you are still in school don't play it. Even though the characters in the game are in school it's just to much for kids to understand.

Just as good as the original, while being surprisingly different from it. This is not a 'Rejection Simulator' anymore. There's still a ton of dark humor and sharp quips, but while the first game was 99% jokes burying its emotional core in its final scene, this game is more like 80/20. Once I adjusted my expectations to that, I had a lot of fun with it. The routes with Ari and Emily were my favorites.

Play Class of '09 first if you haven't. This isn't a a remake, nor a remaster. More of a soft-reboot that mentions the original - think of it as like FF7 Remake or something. The plot of this is different to Class of '09, even if it frequently hits similar thematic beats. Personally, I think I preferred Class of '09 to The Re-Up, it felt like it had a more coherent and tied together thematic narrative, although the highs of The Re-Up are higher. Overall, I'd still say that this is definitely a must play VN. Basically Mean Girls meets South Park. Some of the best social commentary and comedy I've seen in a video game. In fact, the Class of '09 duology might actually be the best.

If the first game let you be toxic, The Re-Up cranks it up to full-on supervillain. More chaos, more insults, and even wilder schemes to finesse, manipulate, and dominate your way through high school. The writing is just as sharp, the voice acting is still top-tier, and the humor is somehow even meaner. It’s like stepping back into 2009, but this time you’ve unlocked the DLC for being a menace. If you enjoyed the first game, you already know what’s up. If you didn’t? Well, prepare to get absolutely cooked. 10/10, I regret nothing.

While not as many outcomes as the first one, this segment of Class of '09 explores Nicole's relationship with some of the students that didn't get as much of a spotlight and find out that some of them are even more fucked up than her. I highly recommend this game if you were looking for a reason to be glad you're no longer in high school.

Honestly even better than the "first" one, I think they really took time in the story writing of each route this time and even with less ending it took me a little more than 5h to play instead of 3h for the first. The voice acting is still peaked also
