I'm still reading this VN but I think its coming to an end (currently on ch. 10), at least hopefully it is. While the setting (early modern, late 19th early 20th century Japan) and concept (dealing with a debilitating disease and how it effects & affects society) is interesting and captivated me right away, that novelty got worn down quite quickly. This has to be one of the most boring things I have ever read in the VN format. I feel like I would be enjoying this a lot more if this was just an actual physical pb without audiovisuals. I don't know how it reads in Japanese but in English its mostly a WoT snooze fest. I'm only continuing on reading it thoroughly since I paid for it and there are a moments where its written quite well. Though its shining strength also casts its shadowing weakness. The whole experience thus far has felt like an epic of ennui. Maybe it'll have an amazing ending but its a slog getting through. I find it hard to recommend this VN to anyone unless they want to read something different from most of the usual emotionally and/or sexually charged moe anime style VNs out there. As for me I think I'll stick to the moe anime style VNs and reserve my enjoyment for erudite and dry reading to actual books, not VNs

This game is very boring. For some reason it doesn't take advantage of being a VN at all. The artwork is extremely good, backgrounds in particular are simply gorgeous; but there's bizarre lack of CG, so there's a lot of "telling" but not "showing" which makes the dull writing even more sleep inducing. The music is also used extremely sparingly and when there's actually BGM somehow it doesn't match very well with the scenes. The main POV characters are also rather unlikable, but at least that seems intentional. All in all one of if not the weakest VN I've read in quite some time. A real shame.

This is a beautiful and emotional story where the game's premise (a condition called Aerodema) serves as an excellent metaphor for problems in healthcare in the world today, especially when it comes to mental health and care for the elderly. The music and art are beautiful, and the story is well-paced and the sensitive subject matter is appropriately handled.
