Finally beat the Plant enemy!

as of the september 30th beta, the playtest is a developer playground for testing mechanics, and its fun to see a lot of interesting mechanics in their infant stage. Right now dont expect a proper game, its a showcase and early access to the engine, and thats cool! the directional combat and parry system is incredibly engaging and novel, and thanks to the spectacular visual and sound design is deeply satisfying. theres so much potential, and im incredibly excited to see it develop!

Fun and very challenging. Found the game on Yudosai blog after i stumbled across it and wanted to support. Satisfying combat when you get the hang of it, and an enjoyable soundtrack to boot. Only issues i had where the lock on becomes incredibly disorientating when the fox is making 6 moves spinning all around you. As well the punishment of getting stunned then the red part is incredibly annoying resulting in me never getting past stage 4 as he does one top spin kick followed by a low immediately after giving no time to recover stun locking you in place and just pummelling you in a corner. I've attempted it several times and its damn near impossible to get him dazed or out of the stun luck from the variety of moves he throws. Also the tutorial was incredibly confusing and almost made me quit as the mouse movements NEVER did what i was trying to do until i changed something to make it so that the parry would just follow my arrow keys.Some enemy encounters require what seems to be a split second of reaction time to parry followed by a ray of lows and high attacks which in my opinion you have to be some sort of super human to predict and not get stun locked. Game would also crash consistently whenever i was doing well, but only on level 4. The foxes secret move. Only things i'd recommend is flesh out the tutorial more, explain the things that are talked about in on the death screen in it too as well as maybe add the flower enemy in there too as a first stage to understand the parry. Also just make default the WASD parry. Mouse is way too finicky, could be just me though. Not trying to complain and say the games impossible, i'm positive its just a skill issue. Played till the fingies hurt so that just shows how fun it was and rewarding to finally get past some earlier stages flawlessly. If there is an endgame which i hope to find out in the future of playing, it would make this game an incredible game to speed run! Keep making stuff, this was cool and original for someone who has been sick of the games released nowadays!!!
