Fun game. A lot different than the most farming games, but you know what? Nothing HAS to be like Stardew. This game is it's own thing and I like about it. It's different. :)

Greatly enjoying this game right now. A little confusing with some things starting out, but I would definitely recommend to anyone who love farming Sims with interesting backstory. Also, works great on steamdeck!

It's a cute game. The only downside is the fishing game! GRRRR!!! So bloody frustrating! And you really have to grind a lot in the game to really get anywhere!

I really enjoyed this game. It's gorgeous looking and felt warm and cozy the entire time playing. The story idea is very interesting but I think while I was playing the mystery got a bit lost. Also, it may have just been me but the conclusion of the mystery was a bit upsetting. Overall, I would say that it is a very good game and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a farming game in a cute town with fun elements. If you are looking for the mystery to be a big deal you may be disappointed.

I'm enjoying Everholm, but I think I can already feel how shallow it is. This is in the pantheon of good cozy farm/adventure sims, but it doesn't touch the greats of the genre. But, ya know, if you're like me and you've already played SDV, Fields of Mistria, Littlewood, Sun Haven, etc., Everholm is a nice way to spend some time, even if it's mostly leaving me feeling hungry for how good those other games are comparatively.

I really wish there was a neutral option for reviews. This game is really really adorable. It's the kind of game I'm looking for. And you can tell that I've spent a lot of time in it (half of it I was afk though). But the more I played, the more it felt like it should have been in early access. I even wondered if the reason I didn't see that it was in early access was because I already bought the game. So I even signed out to see. It needs quite a bit of work. The progression is extremely slow. It doesn't even have a full working split stack. The devs had turned off split stacking from chests, so you have to move your items into your inventory just to split them.

Pros: This game is super cute, and i enjoy the design choices they made. Cons: Clunky UI. Progression is very slow. And i'm very aggravated that the first holiday they do in game does not make sense. i got there right as it started, played two of the mini games to earn tickets to purchase something from the holiday shop, and it immediately ended the festival after the second mini game. Making all the NPCs leave. Like TF was the point of me trying to earn tickets?? To use them next year?? ALSO all the male NPCs are low key ugly even though all the female NPCs are pretty.

i wish there were an option to rate in the middle. this game isn't terrible, but feels early access. for $20 i feel like it should have more. better UI, better models, player customization, etc. i like the nature, i like the art style, i like the little critters around the place. buy it on sale if you do buy it

First of all, the designers of this game deserve congratulations, the game is gorgeous. The story starts very interesting and then.. nothing happens. Finish the first tier of the
underworld
? Nothing happens. No one recognizes it. Get some hearts with an NPC? Nothing happens. The story just dies and you have a bunch of quests like "do 20 board quests", or "build a barn" which don't seem to forward the story at all, they just get replaced by the next one which you need even more money to buy. On top of that, most of the fun items in the game that gives you a sense of progression are inaccessible, locked behind materials needed for their purchase that you've never seen before, and there's no clue as to where they might be sourced. it kind of feels like the player will have to build everything, expand everything, reach everything at max, just to see the story finally progress. Which, to me at least, is not fun at all, because the world is doing nothing to motivate to do any of theses things. No promise to happen, no story to continue, no new area to explore, nothing. It's a real shame seeing how beautiful the world is, and how awesome it would be to be able to actually enjoy it; buy new spells, find the seeds needed for that quest, stuff like that. But, no. Every things seems to be locked behind some unknown factor. Hoping that future patches will fix the pacing, or at least add a way to know where to source stuff and where each investment leads.
