PREFACE:
I'm glad a dedicated swim/no-hesi/outrun style game exists for VR that isn't modded asetto corsa & it's still new to early access (at time of writing) so my criticisms should be taken with a grain of salt. If you're looking for the esoteric vibe this game is putting off I'd go for it. It's fun & honestly before this game was out I was playing Midnight Club: LA in Bigscreen VR with the wraparound monitor option lmao (not to actually play the classic game but to no hesi on the highway), and this definitely beats that.
HOUR IN IMPRESSIONS (SPOILER: it's good with room for improvement):
This game is quite brutal, lanes are quite shallow & collision detection is a bit high (trading slight paint with someone sends your car to a screeching hault) which is something that I don't entirely love due to it causing your flow to mess up if you clip (not fully smack), but there seems to be a decent amount of tuning for an arcade game (beyond engine, handling etc. upgrades) there's things like camber, weight dist. etc. that I haven't fully tested, but is impressive none-the-less.
Currently rocking the 300 SL look-a-like (my second car), I mean *ahem* totally legally distinct unique car (c'mon the logo is a peace sign not a three-pointed star lol) and the cars especially when first booting up the game from a controller perspective are so sluggish but one upgrade to the handling category & some patience cars start feeling useable. Also for steering on controller I hold my thumb on the left stick always pointed up and then gradually move left/right from their like a real steering wheel with a resting position, because I find in first person the steering looks jerky otherwise.
In terms of POV: there are 3 modes aerial, 3rd person, and 1st person. Aerial has the best visibility for the road ahead, 3rd person feels at home with the arcade nature of the game, and 1st person is the best for spatial awareness though the steering is perceived slower (and you don't see much of the road ahead of you unfortunately) in 1st person or at least in my experience. I would love to see further down the road in the future in 1st person so I can strategize my cuts 2-4 at a time like swimming in real life.
SUMMATION:
This game definitely reflects it's early-access label, but it's enticing enough for me to want to keep playing & the price tag isn't terrible either. It's a fun experience & the varied ways to play (strict no hesi, hit every ramp or try to offroad any chance you get) definitely is exciting because if I get bored during a level I can just switch up the approach. I'm also fond of the avatar creator (for pilot & co-pilot) it's really cool & uses a third party to create but it's immersive to have myself & my partner driving together like in real-life lol
EDIT: After 9 hours & unlocking all the cars at various degrees of upgrades, I really like the variety of how each car feels even before upgrading/tuning. Also upgrading handling/braking to about 20-30% really helps with my earlier criticism of steering being clunky, it is a shame though that you have to upgrade cars to get them to be at a baseline level of use.
The game-play is most fun when your ignoring the objective (but that's just me). Also with the objectives there are definitely ones you will get comfortable with & know how to cheese/grind them out. Can't wait to see where the direction of this game goes (still early access) in the month or so of me owning this game there has already been new content added so I'm excited for the prospect of a full release eventually.

I like this game since it is mainly for VR but I have played in both Flatscreen and VR.
This is a SIMPLE game similar to Outrun and Horizon Chase games.
I can attest that I didn't feel any motion sickness at all while playing in VR though I am quite sensitive to it.
Graphics are "cute" and are good enough, cars are well modelled, music is nice.
Now the bad...
Controlling the cars are... **sigh**
You press right, the animation of the car going right is played but the car is still in same place for a second and then starts to move slowly.
Countering steering, specially when a curve is coming up, sometimes impossible.
It's like driving a car with summer tires on winter ice.
Collision detection is sometimes really weird. I was driving straight, no cars or jumps and it crashed the car. THE ROAD WAS EMPTY at the time. **sigh**
Other times it works quite smooth.
All in all, I like it since it is a quick game, you can pick it up, play it for couple of minutes and come back to it at later time.

This is a neutral recommendation. I'm not scoring or reviewing the game as I normally do for several reasons. The biggest one is that this type of racer really isn't my thing. It's a casual arcade racing game with online multiplayer. However, where it's really unique is that it is focused on bringing a motion-sickness free experience by not having any camera rotation. Obviously, this focus is meant for those who are either new to VR or experience nausea in VR, I've never experienced any nausea in VR so this game is obviously not for me.
I still bought it. I think it was on a big sale when I bought it. I like to support VR devs. I have many VR games that I've never played. Anyways, like I said, this game isn't really my jam. However, when I did try to play it, the game would crash after the splash screen, along with hearing this awful sound. I actually had the same issue on Guardian Frontlines and those devs never fixed the issue. This dev responded promptly and he quickly fixed it. I'm impressed.
If this game looks interesting to you, look at my video where I show gameplay and mention some positives and several negatives as well. The biggest negative was that I did notice some micro-stutters. Not sure what it causing that. Again check out the video and see if this game is for you or not.

Cheap, ugly, controls are awful, and hideous Pixar looking AI art throughout. Also, a terrible, emotionless AI that interacts with the player. Don't even buy on sale.
