Not worth even the 1,39€ I paid. The levels are not fun and show they don't know what makes Painkiller fun.

This DLC from all that was released is the best. All levels are remade, but they are changed in many ways. You also get new tarot and Dual-wield power-up.
Rating: 4/5
Great piece of DLC! Painkiller: Hell and Damnation is a remaster of the first Painkiller game and its expansion: Battle Out of Hell. The game follows the same story line and mechanics, but offers a lot more content like challenge maps, a unique Halloween map and the introduction of co-op. It now runs on the Unreal Engine and looks fantastic. You can clearly see that this is a game of the new millennium. Some stages are not available until you buy them as DLC, the same goes for the Tarot cards and skins. And speaking of DLC, this game has a ton of it. You never have the feeling that you have a complete game because you miss some random DLC. The only game that I know of that is worse than this, is Borderlands 2 with its million pieces of DLC. The fourth DLC I completed was Painkiller: Hell and Damnation – The Clock Strikes Meat Night. This one was a lot of fun. In the basis, it was some kind of reskin from the "Town" level, in the same setting. The new enemies, boss battle and dual wielding mechanic however, were unique and brutal. The overall atmosphere of this DLC was just what I expected from a Painkiller game. Overall, I can only praise this piece and thought it was worth it. In the end, I still think Painkiller: Hell and Damnation is a good game, just not as epic as the original game and its expansion. This is mainly because of the commercial vibe that this game has and the missing levels and enemies, but when playing, it still feels like Painkiller. Still recommend it though.

This DLC adds 3 levels for single/coop play, all three coming from original Painkiller. And they aren't just random dull maps, no. It's the three maps from Chapter 2 and they are quite iconic, defining some of Painkiller's most memorable moments. Town is a medieval town filled with zombies that throw their own bits at you and monks. It had quite a nice atmoshpere in original. And it's still nice there. Though, nitpicking, I miss occasional usage of physics, like falling balcony. Also miss better contrast between dark and light, with some zombies carrying torches. The funny thing is that in HD some still carry torches and throw them, but they aren't lit. And monks kinda feel passive and dumber. And zombies more aggresive and don't feel like pieces of wiggling cursed meat, more like usual zombies. Yea, this level feels quite "off" for me, person who liked it a lot in Black Edition. It's still good one, mind it. They added this little thing where you can overcharge cutted zombie head with Soulcatcher. It's hard to aim at, but quite worth it on this level. Then you will have to go through Asylum. And hey, this one is actually great. Just don't turn flashlight on. I am still going to nitpick that I miss a little detail of one of the insane monster banging the head against the front door. But it easily makes up for it with overall look improvement and additional gameplay at the end. Nicely added! The last map, Snowy Bridge, is a great one. This one seemed to be remixed nicely, with care putted into it. Even has nice boss and nice end section, as budget as it looks. If all levels in PK HD were like this, this game would have been awesome. Tarot card that is given for free is the one that returns you 2,5% of daamge you deliver as health. It's a powerful thing. Though, I wish that it was linked to any map, just to have some additional objective.
