The closest thing we'll ever get to what SHOULD'VE been a Wizard of Legend 2 sequel, it really scratches that roguelike itch for me. Great game and extremely underrated.

Great game if you are looking for a survivors like (vampire survivor, halls of torment, Holocure). The main twist is that you create the builds on the fly. One spell might not be that good, but with the right combinations, it can shine and do some crazy damage or CC. Just tons of diff ways to play each run and viability of each build idea is assured once you have a good grasp of the mechanics. The first couple of runs you might not have a good idea how to get damage from your spells, but it will eventually click. The clarity on the screen also takes some time to get use to. Lots of effects going on at the same time as you get further into a run. There is a basic story and lore to go with it. This game has less personality compared to others in the same genre, but makes up for it with some fresh gameplay ideas.

I made a video about my thoughts; https://youtu.be/cKc_HBb0oHQ To summerise, i think that there is so much rng, and so many types of spells that it makes it hard to make builds. When gamers can make builds, it makes it easier to identify with the game they are playing, and makes it more likely they will come back for more
