ever since this game was no longer playable on that one beloved website, i jumped on the opportunity to purchase the game on steam. i could play this for hours (and i totally do!), and it's overall just a relaxing game full of nostalgia that reminds me of childhood.

An incredibly relaxing, enjoyable experience that acts as a wild nostalgia trip to the days of 'school computers'. The reality that FlipLine is adaptating these classic games for the steam storepage is utterly amazing, and they work exactly how I and anyone else likely remembers them: fun, charming, and surprisingly addictive; if not those, then a really solid, low requirement experience to boot up without needing to think too much about doing it.

it's super fun, graphics are amazing and a fun game to play whenever you have even 15-20 min to spare in your day

so i havent 100%'d or "beaten" this game (which i would consider doing a full year) but i have 15 hours and i think ive seen pretty much everything. it is at its basics the same game i used to play during computer lab on cool math games as a kid, but only in its basics. so much stuff has been added it's basically a complete remake. i feel like everything added is for the best too. holidays are fun and i like that you get to dress up your guy and restaurant for all of them. i also love the seasonal ingredients, unlocking them all makes getting through the month more fun. also the stickers (Achievements) are a great addition. i currently have 66/90. im surprised at just how much there is in this game, it's very simple but pretty big. the minigames which they introduced in the later flash games are back too. my one complaint is about these, the rewards they give are repetitive and i dont really want to have 7 of the same item. i really dont like the one where you match the order to the customer but that might be because i have a bad memory and dont really pay attention to who orders what. this could be a downside for some people, but not for me: the gameplay is extremely repetitive. you're doing really just the same thing the entire game minus the minigames, so if you play one day and dont like the basic gameplay or dont like repetitive gameplay you will not like this game. overall: they really could have just rereleased the game from 10 years ago again to cash in on nostalgia with no additions but they didnt and i respect that alot. they actually added a lot that makes it feel like a new, modern game. it makes me excited for when they remake future games (looking forward to the hotdog one especially bc that was my fave)

This version is fantastic and the sticker system makes everything even more satisfying. There is also an added feedback screen that gives you a description of why your score wasn't perfect. The only thing I do not like is how hard the Blender Ball mini-game is now. In the flash version it is far easier, and in this version it seems nearly impossible to accurately predict where the lights will end up on the power meter because it appears to be much faster. It seems like pure luck to be able to get it to land on the lights you intend for it.

Truly the best and most fun cooking strategy game series. It almost never gets to a point where you want to quit out of frustration, it is rare to feel rushed, and even if you mess up an order the customers never hold a grudge. I love it here. I love you Papa Louie.
