DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT - 23rd World Tournament DLC

A fun time :) Should have been the actual start of the game though.

The cutscenes are so gorgeous that it hurts to call this a bad dlc but it's bad. REALLY bad. Half the game takes place in the city, which is best for running around doing nothing until you're bored before beating the game, and grinding poorly thought out battles after you've done so. It's not fun even the first time. Ground battles' little novelty is completely decimated by the fact that, like the hoard battles from resurrection f, they are locked exclusively to this dlc. Of course, true to the base game, you can't use costumes here either, which means the gorgeous Goku model and ALL of his super attacks, including the two minutes of kid Goku you get to play, are all completely gone when you exit the game. Be it whether right after beating the dlc or after grinding your money's worth out of npc battles, you're going to eventually get bored and that's the end of your money, none of it carries over. The other half the game is spent in about two battles altogether, as the entire rest of the tournament, including Goku's other fights, are skipped entirely. A combat centric RPG with a tournament arc skipped all the battles. In between them you hang out in a hideous empty yellow room your jump is poorly attuned to and can optionally play a not very fun battle against taopaipai as tien like three times in a row. If you watched all the cutscenes on YouTube you would extract every ounce of value from this dlc and save yourself a headache while doing it.
