Dlc is great, but i ask those who design and make this game to take a close look at various mods made for rebellion especially (enhanced 4x mod 1.75(&(Sins of a solar Empire) star wars mod. Its a good thing the people who make those mods don't have the capability to produce their own title, It is a shame sins doesn't have more depth.in depth interacton with different races diplomacy,Missions objectives similar to Homeworld, and why can't u create a better ending for the races?U have a nice intro.Makes me feel like u got tired&lazy towards the end.enhanced4X mods adds special characters&embassy's something that should have been included in sins.U have a great game that needs more depth&greater attention to detail. And for the record having to pay for random events&additional planets is silly every game should have random events standard.dlc should add something truly unique.Honestly wiss the fools who make mods&give them away for nothing would produce a title give Sins some serious competition.Maybe then makers of Sins will truly improve the title.

The new planets and planet bonusses expand the main content, a must-grab! I would suggest getting it on a sale though, I don't feel like this one is worth 5 dollar, more like 2 or 3.

Love this game. TAKES A LONG TIME. Moderate learning curve. TAKES A LONG TIME. Expect to spend 3-5 hours per game for the small to medium sized games against standard or hard difficulty. There is a lot of options, so the multiplayer, especially cooperative is rewarding. No Campaign. Not really. But cool game, very satisfying fleet battles and epic space combat. Manage your populations and expand early, decide whther to push your culture, economy, or military strength, and don't neglect the other two. Watch the pirates, they are stupid, but persistent. Fun game. No regrets for wasted time. Plan to play a lot more in the future.

I toyed with the idea of buying this expansion pack for ages. Sins is old now but I do find I keep going back to it for a game or two. Well, im not dissapointed! The new worlds do add new strategic consequences to the game and if possioble even more depth. I'd recommend this pack without hesitation. I got this 2 weeks ago, im now going to get stellar phenom, see if thats as good, if it is then I will get outlaw too. Hurrah Stardock you really are a great publisher!!

While the lack of story is a little disappointing, the map layouts invite some really fun tactical options and the lack of a wall-esque structure forces defensive players to be more creative in how they go about guarding their territory.

This is a good DLC because it adds four new world types: Barren, Ferrous, Ocean and Greenhouse. Barren worlds can have 42 logistic spots! That is a lot of Trade Ports. Ferrous worlds are super-volcano. I once had a Ferrous with 7 metal mines. Ocean and Greenhouse worlds add variety. I play TEC often and Ocean worlds can get big for them. This DLC adds some nice variety to this decent game. Since this is an older game I would suggest wait for a DLC sale perhaps. I did not but the DLC are ok.

Compared to the other dlc this game has, this one is much more beneficial to the game. This dlc will add some gameplay mechanics that can improve the rather lacking planet development, allowing you to specialize your planets for either industry or social impact. The specialization can make the gameplay interesting at times as it can allow you to either have amazing credit income for a planet, or have a culture modifier and improved population that can spread your influence to other planets alarmingly fast. The addition of 4 planets will give the galaxy some life, along with some unique research and high asteroid counts (ferrus have 5-7 metal asteroids) to benefit your empire. Planet bonuses they mention in the details also exist as well, which give more uniqueness to a planet if one is found. I know anyone reading this is going to ask this question, is it worth the price given? Surprisingly, for all it gives, Yes. The improvements in gameplay are much more noticable and reworks some of the mechanics to planet development, along with giving more in strategic use to planets and how you expand your empire. The $5 price is much more reasonable for the amount given compared to the stellar phenomena dlc. If you manage to catch this on sale, which is surprisingly often on big steam sales, both are a good grab. Overall, I give this a 7/10 dlc wise. Have fun!

Love this DLC. It's sort of the halfway point between an expansion pack and the usual DLC, but it MASSIVELY breaks up the monotony of a normal SoaSE map. With the DLC, you can find all sorts of planets to settle that can substantially alter your play depending on what you run into. The universe feels more alive, basically. It feels more varied, more exciting to explore. Definitely worth $5.
