Its so so good. If you liked the first one this is the extra bit you wanted. Its cheap, fun, and exactly what I wanted. Alawar scratched my itch.

Short but fun! It's more of a DLC than a new game but for less than 10 bucks that's more than fair. Lots of comments on here about bugs and stability issues but I didn't have any. Kind of a shame the reviews are so low.

I liked the last one. I like this one. If you played the first one and enjoyed it, I recommend it. It's the same, but they've added more bits and bobs like relics to equip and introduced "titan" skeletons which are super fun to walk around as and smash stuff up with. I got it on sale, but honestly if I end up spending around 24 hours on this like I did the last one, I'd say $8 is not bad. I've paid more to see movies that are much less fun than I will have in this game.

There should be a way to speed up time so you can skip the massive gaps of nothingness. Wouldnt buy the game at full price.

Okay, played for three hours, feel ready to write a review. Short and sweet, I am enjoying myself. The game is not, however, what I was expecting. For me, a traditional tower defense game has a path along which you build towers, this is one of those games where you have a tower, and enemies can come from any direction. Plays more as a real time strategy game to me. Still, I am enjoying it. The core of the game is your ability to build an astounding array of undead types as the game progresses. As you build each one, you give it a core mission (which you can change later) from attacking enemy locations, to seeking out resources, to attacking enemy units to defending where you are, and of course, defending your tower. As the game progresses you can also build titans, giant units of great power! These are neat. As the game progresses your units explore the map, pushing back the fog of war, finding resources like mana, cash, ore, body parts, blueprints and more. You can also control a unit, and move it around yourself, which is useul at times, but you need to be checking so many things you cannot do it for long. You can build buildings that improve your units as well, once you find the blueprints. One thing that confuses me, I find libraries which can help me find blueprints (I think) if I loot them, no clue how to loot them. Maybe I have? No clue. Anyway, between games there is a base where you can buy strategic upgrades (which is what the cash is for) and there is also a room for relics which you can activate a few of, though the area implies there are a LOT of them! There are also a few tactical options in the form of spells. bonus. I have long believed that the core of a game is the options you give the player, and this game has plenty! Of course the enemy is sending waves of monsters at your tower. You can destroy the sources of them, but so far I always lose in the end. I did finally defeat the first level, opening up a new map. but it allowed me to stay on that map and push further, which I did. All in all, fun, though I wish I could enjoy the exploration more, like a lot of RTS games, a lot happens that I miss. Yes, you can pause the game and look around, but it's not really the same. Excellent art, fun sense of humor, lots of decent quality of life options, okay music and fun sound effects. All very solid. All in all, and easy two thumbs up, really having fun.

i would love to keep playing this game so i can actually judge it but after the first run it gets stuck on the ´´use gold to repair and upgrade devices and items´´´screen im clicking to buy the upgrade its hovering and it just wont let me buy it and i cant hover anything else besides that one item that i am forced to buy to progress and it wont let me buy it ive restarted the game and i even redid a new run to see if it had something to do with that but no it simply wont let me continue therefore i cant give this game anything else than a bad rating, although i did enjoy the first run it just wont let me keep playing, unlucky i guess

Slow and boring. Its like an RTS except you really don't control your troops except for some vague commands. Sure you can directly control a SINGLE unit at a time but you have to manually walk your little guy over to where you want them to go but as soon as you click away from them they go back to doing whatever they were before. Building creatures is fun the first couple of times but when you have to do it over 30 times during a map you just end up clicking whatever is at the top of you list.

I can't understand why this game is 99% identical to the original one and still it feels much worse. Also, the way it sets limits on you and makes to replay over and over to get enough gold and titan body parts is ridiculous. The worst sequel I could imagine. PS A separate "thanks" to devs for a skippable trophy to be defeated by a titan hand!
