New favorite game! Its like 7 Days To Die but more of an adventure, RPG-ish, survival type of game. Instead of every 7 nights you have a horde, its every night(by default) or you can set it to every 2 or 3 nights a horde comes. Traps are your friend with hordes! Starting out I set it to every 2 nights. General loves and game play mechanics: - I love how you can build anywhere you want, for the most part. - There are world options!!! Options, in my opinion can make or break a game. Options and QoL features are must haves. - Very cool map to explore, with many different themes and biomes. You can also build a boat and explore the ocean. - You can fast travel easily. You can unlock fast travel points or place down a bed and fast travel to that which makes it *chefs kiss* for when you're far away from home and the dead are about to come out. - I personally experience no lag. I don't have a top tier system either. The graphics aren't realistic and crisp but they aren't terrible. - I love using the bow and arrow or crossbow, its very smooth and easy. I don't like melee as much because every time you attack you move forward a lot and that gets annoying after a while. - There is a bit of a story and NPCs to trade with, after you explore and rescue them. - There are some bosses you can take down to gain materials and advance but you don't *have to* - I love how much free will the player has. Want to explore the desert as soon as you spawn? SURE! You can do just that. You will suffer some heat exhaustion but why not! Want to focus on making the ultimate base, ultimate horde base, or BOTH? You can do that too! You can play how you want. - There is loot and treasure to be found. I am a loot goblin so of course I love this game. - Inventory can be expanded and armor/gear can be improved(Either by finding/crafting better stuff or upgrading) - The devs are still updating the game. They just released a multiplayer update. -Remember the game is still being developed. It hasn't been out for too long but it has a good chunk to do and I personally am loving it. Could it use some tweaks? Of course. But keep in mind it is a game still in development. However its pretty fleshed out for only being out for a couple years. If you want, you should get the demo and see for yourself. I played the demo first and was hooked! Then bought the game when I couldn't explore the second part of the map lol. The saves do transfer over but I decided to start fresh. This game is my cup o tea, for sure. Its got PVE, exploration, NPCs(But not over bearing) and Survival. Its new and exciting for me. Cant wait to see how far this game goes. If a dev sees this- Please do not change the games core. The fast traveling is awesome. The base building, at its core, is awesome. Don't take away anything, just add onto it. All the game really needs. Add onto it or improve but don't remove :D

I really like this game, and have enjoyed playing it so far. Unfortunately it is now showing a "fatal error", game crashed upon startup, and now I cannot get back into the game.

I am enjoying this game a lot. It does have a couple of issues. I would like to have the option for first person to be able to place things better. I also have built a house in the starter area with walls and traps around it and the enemies still spawn inside of my walls. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if this is not intended. I love that you really need to explore everywhere because you don't know what you will find in those little nooks and crannies. I like that we upgrade the bench and more items to craft are then opened up. I have played 10 hours and feel like I have only scratched the surface. I play mostly solo anymore and the option for easy mode is appreciated. The building is nice. I like the 1x1 and 2x2 pieces, that allows us to be a little more creative. The skill tree is huge and I love my little fairy. I believe there may be an issue with the save game button because I saved it and then went back in and it only started me at the last auto save so I have that set to the lowest amount of time. It saves often but at least I am not losing anything. Fun game. Please give us option to switch back and forth with first and third person though!

The game is suuuper fun and amazing. If only it was running well.. it very poorly optimized even on high end hardware. Aside from that, coop is great experience, so is single player

an actually decent EA game with good amount of promise if they fix the multiplayer needing epic and expand on the content a bit more, at the moment the replay ability is kind of lacking due to only so much to do in the game but has a lot of decently fleshed out systems. the combat mechanic is solid but basic and allows for a few different builds and playstyles but would love to see them dip more into the magic side of things hordes attacking at night is cool but gets repetitive after the first 5 times and can be easily cheesed don't even need to build a base just find a map structure and place some spikes in the doorway or around it and watch your kills fly game feels like it wants to be a survival MMO but stuck in single player and on a small dev team budget. only played it for a few days on hard and already beat all the bosses and buy it if you want something to play and think it could be fun because i can be but as it is currently EA, small dev team, no mods, and only 0.4.9 version as of right now do not expect to put a ton of hours into the game. also might of been the lucky one of the bunch but didn't get any crashes or game save bugs, just the odd bug every now and then like enemies landing hits on you after death or doing anything with the boats.

Not ready for early release. Controls are janky. I kept having to esc out of menus I didn't want open. Not fun when in a fight. A great idea for a game though. Super keen for this to be a good game. Just a shame it was released so early. I'll stay with it. If devs listen to players this could be a good game. But not really super playable atm. I paid $30AU for this. Stupid me. It seems like a cash grab. I'm hoping its not.

The super quick review: If you enjoy survival/base building games, this is a steal for $19.99. It already has an insane amount of content, great graphics, and game feels good. Detailed: 1) I played the demo first and even then, the game feels decent for early access. However, buying early access revamps the game in a meaningful way. Everything from talents, fairy skills, loot encounters, and more. I would def recommend playing the demo just to get a feel for it but buying early access is highly recommended. Game is muuuuuch better. 2) The crafting system and base building feels great. There is already a ton of options and customization which normally I only see in a final version. Placed a building but want to switch spots? No problem, take your hammer, pick it up, and move it and rotate it to your heart's content. Its great for base building enthusiasts. 3) Progression feels good. I'm lvl 55 and currently playing with iron. Each upgrade that requires a new set of materials, gives good reason to keep exploring the map. 4) I enjoy horde nights, though it can get a little repetitive, even if there are new types of enemies that come after 10x. Not sure if this is a complaint though because the game is setup where you can pay 3 stones, and you do seem to get quite a handful that you can delay horde nights if you need more time to prepare or even if you just want to keep exploring! I'm on Day 13 so still not sure if its based off my level, amount of days passed (including horde nights that are delayed, still testing this). 5) Scenery, graphics, and the overall world feels full and well made. I have played many games where you have open spaces and its just a few shrubs or trees. It feels like the designers in this game have really spent time making the world flush and it does show. Some larger pieces seem to have a lower resolution compared to the rest, but considering its in early access and what they have done thus far, I have no doubt it will all be polished up. 6) Combat and animation feels good. Normally I like to play these types of games with a controller but its actually good with a mouse and keyboard. Blocking attacks, attacking in smart fashion, is very key and critical. If you want to swing like a mad man, you certainly can but expect to get take damage. Now this does allow for some cheese, especially if you get the talent that gives 50% less stamina cost to blocks but i still enjoy the game. Its focused around survival/base building/rpg more I think and its good. Complaints (minor) 1) I got all the way to level 55 and I had no idea you could check off a quest to make it show up as if you're tracking it. For example, I kept thinking how nice it would be to know exactly how much quantity of a certain resource I need to acquire. Well, if you click the quest, it will highlight and get specific. It seems you can only do 1 at a time. So I would advise devs to put quantities in the quest text also. That way I can think in my brain, map out what I want to do, then set off to complete the quests in a chain. 2) Butterflies are soooo annoying. Probably the only part I hate. White butterflies are in excess abundance. Red ones are so scarce. Even resetting day/night cycle, its a pain to get them to spawn. Would love to see this balanced out more between the different colors. That is about it. Honestly even these complaints are very minor. This game is quite amazing for $19.99 only. Feels like a steal and can't wait to keep playing and getting farther in this game, let alone seeing what else comes our way in the future. This game has a ton of potential.

This is a pretty great game. Someone I don't know recommended it to someone else I don't know, so I looked into it. I played the prologue for 8 hours, but I saw people saying the saves don't transfer to the actual game so I bought it. The saves now DO in fact transfer. When I logged into the game and clicked on load, I still had my base and inventory. Only thing that was missing was my traps. I did start it over anyways because its a brand new game. I personnally think if you're interested in this game, check out the prologue. If you play that a bit then start over again here, you sill see how much work they have put into it. Its so different, for the better! The lands different, skill trees, etc. I normally prefer playing these types of games coop, but I've been having a blast solo with this one. So much to do and explore. I bought this game just yesterday and already have 11 hours in the main game, so over 19 hours in 2-3 days between the 2. If curious, go check it out! I dont think you'll be disappointed.

I wont recommend the game in its current state. 2 Reasons. 1. Manual saves don't always work. 2. The game had an update today that changed the settings I had for a casual experience. So what happened with the changes from the update? well I got killed by the dead at my base, and they also destroyed everything I spent tons of hours working on. And the kicker was I lost all the loot I had on me as well. So I am walking away from this game for a while. After I posted the bad review of my experience which is what you read before you got to this point. The dev team emailed me with in 24 hours with an apology, and a way to get most of my lost items back. I am not going to take them up on that offer. But I've edited my review because of the professionalism they showed me. So I want to say I do recommend this game and I support this dev team. I Enjoyed the game and was having a lot of fun with it. I will reinstall the game again in the very near future.
