Fun little puzzle game. Finished in one sitting. Would have liked a bit more variety on the puzzles, perhaps by mixing light colors, or playing with intensities. Perhaps in DLC or Rayland 3?

I bought this game and I still haven't beaten it but I have to say that the game design, user interface, and general visuals are incredibly well done. This game surprised me, I'll update this when I beat it but wow; so impressed at the mechanics. Edit: I beat the game, wasn't exactly challenging, it's pretty easy to see kinda what the solution is just looking at the layout. Also disappointed that the fact that colors can combine didn't come into play at some point, maybe it was more of a visual thing - but I think that could've added more variety. Maybe have a prism that can split the beams back [shrug]

Nice brain game - thx game devs <3 Reporting an exploit that for the blocking lazer walls, when you initially line up the lazer and snap it in, despite the wall being there it blips for a moment and phases through the wall pinging the receiving lazer block as if the connection was made. I used this to beat two levels. One of them being lvl 50.

Great and simple puzzle game. Picked it up at a sale and if you like puzzle games you should too, cause every level is different and offers a new challenge.

Quick Description: -Rayland 2 is the sequel to the minimalist puzzle game that focuses on laser reflection and pathfinding. I'm really glad that I decided to give both games a try b/c I was quite disappointed w/ the original. Imo, this game improves upon the original in almost every way. The sequel got a much needed visual overhaul which really makes each puzzle stand out. I like that there are several different colored lasers which adds a unique challenge that the first game didn't offer. Most importantly to me, I found the challenge to be just right. It took me almost exactly 2.5 hrs to complete all 50 puzzles and I enjoyed pretty much every puzzle. Consensus: -Middle of the Road Game (Tier 4 and makes up 25% of my reviews). While I was pleasantly surprised w/ my experience, this game isn't perfect. I think I'd prefer if all of the pieces started off of the grid. In the later levels, things can feel cluttered really quickly. I think there is a lot of potential for another sequel, as I'd love to see the colored lasers combined, which would add a ton of unique puzzle options. Having said all that, you could do a lot worse for $3. I think this is an easy game to recommend, especially when on a 35% of sale or better.

Minimalist game that's done cleanly, although I don't particularly like the graphic style and the distorted perspective. The controls also take some getting used to. As far as I know the cubes can only be rotated by using a controller. There's no way to play it using a mouse only (for no obvious reason). The music is quite relaxing. Most of the levels are very easy, but the last few are tricky. I don't recommend it as it feels pretty soulless and doesn't really offer anything new either.

I love these types of "reflect the lasers to their targets"-type of games and this is no disappointment. Yes, it is very small, so don't expect hours upon hours of gameplay (1 or 2 hours is enough to finish it), but for the tiny game it is, it is well executed. Would therefore recommend, as its small price properly reflects its length. One thing I do miss is the ability to actually do something with multi-colored lasers. When blue and red lasers combine, the new laser properly turns purple, but there was not a single level where that was actually a viable / required strategy. Missed opportunity there... Note I did get some kind of bug (once) where one of the reflective blocks was skewed, aiming the laser wrong and making the level unplayable. Luckily it was an early level, so restarting didn't cause too much of a hassle.

The game is sold for a very reasonable price, but it is relatively short. There are 50 puzzles in total and it took me just over an hour to solve them all at a relaxed pace. I think the puzzles may need a bit more playtesting as many of the puzzles were solvable without using all of the supplied pieces. Multiple-solution puzzles are nice but if there are too many pieces it makes the puzzle a bit too easy. The music is a bit repetitive, but the graphics look polished, as do the animations. I will be keen to try the next instalment.

Enjoyable, logic puzzle game, with only 50 easy levels with no timer. Playable a mouse and keyboard (letter R = rotation puzzle-element) or controller. middle mouse-button = rotation screen left mouse-button = select and move puzzle-element. Recommended for the casual puzzler.
