Farlands Steam Charts & Stats

Congratulations, you've bought your own planet! An agrarian rock in the edge of the galaxy, which, for some reason, was almost given away for free. So the time has come to leave the hectic and stressful life of the overcrowded metropolis for a more rural and rewarding life.

Very boring, very little to do and some of the game systems are just annoying. Wanted to refund but accidentally went past the time sitting in the menu doing other stuff. Seems like very little effort has been put it to execute a good concept. Definitely avoid for now.

Fun game. It reminds me of Stardew Valley, but in Space, and with Aliens. Very enjoyable. It is still in Early Access and far from complete as I type this review, but it is still playable and enjoyable. I have not witnessed any game-breaking bugs and the game is nice. Highly reccomend.

I love this game. It's not perfect, but it's all I ask for in an early access title. For someone who isn’t used to farming games, it can be a bit difficult at the beginning. The tutorials could be improved, and the game needs more content, but as I said, it’s early access, so that’s understandable. With the right direction and a bit of time, this game could become a must-play for farming fans.

I think this game is very close to play style of Stardew! I get it’s in early access even tho it’s says it’s out for PS5 & it’s not. This game could legit be great. It does need some direction as I was wondering how things work & was confused a little. Also no real wiki. It’s just a lot of ppl haven’t tried it. Bottom line, if u loved Stardew Valley imo, this is probably mechanically closest to it other than Fields of Mistria. Same pixel style. Just doesn’t go as deep as SD but I doubt any game will.

* Cracks Knuckles * Okay- I have a real love/ bore me to tears kinda feels going on with this game so far- hear me out! The bare bones of the game is solid, the characters are very diverse and interesting, art style awesome. Now completely understanding the idea of " Early Access " I knew going in it would not be a fully fleshed out game, with gaps and what not. BUT so far.... we have not seen much progress in filling the gaps. There isn't much direction- which is fine- but when your literally looking for things to do.. maybe giving us a few quests that help accelerate the story line would be a great benefit. Along with auto stacking in chests (Please!) and more ways to come across needed chips for tools. I bought 5000 chips that weren't necessary trying to find certain tools. I feel like this game could be great- as it stands right now there is not many hours of play (IMO) I am hoping the developers are able to keep filling in the spots where there is nothing that can be accomplished- so I can play more of this game!

Was really excited to try this game, as it sounds like a cozy sci fi style farming game, where maybe you could help revive a dead planet. I know its in early access, and i'm hoping that the devs will focus a little more actually making the game more interesting, but for now, I can't honestly recommend anyone buying it yet. - Could definitely use a little more on boarding. I usually like games that just let you figure it out as you go, but usually you have an idea of a goal that you need to work towards first. This game literally drops you in with basically nothing. No instructions for controls, no goals, no idea where to go or what to do. After a while, I figured out what to do, but even then, It was still quite boring. I have to make up my own task and goals. - I'm in the community, but not really apart of it. I'm helping to catalouge a planet, save help save it, but no one really seems to care. Would be nice if the game had some quest / side goals for me to fulfill or community request that I could do to help improve my relationship with the locals and to have an effect on things around the city or my planet. Would be nice to see more areas to unlock to get me excited to keep going and to explore more. Also would be nice if different story events happened from time to time, to again, help keep things interesting. this goes back to the fact, the game needs more back story, sides stories. If the planet is at risk of being destroyed soon, work with that. A random visitor at the door, a comet falling in the garden with some weird alien that becomes a pet, A town meeting on the neighboring planet with a message from enemy aliens who are coming to wipe out your planet, ect! The main home planet could be made a lot more interesting, like some native bugs could exist there like on other planets, a cave, different buildings a green house. There's so much space, but apart from trees and rocks...there's nothing. Nothing to upgrade, nothing to explore. - Had no idea what a lot of the items are. You would expect a little overlay to pop up when you hover over items in your inventory to know what it is and how to use it. But currently there isn't anything like that in the game. - The Tool table/ upgrade box, whatever its called. I wish there was more you could build from it, before needing to buy upgrades. Also I bought at least 2 upgrades that turned out to just be decorations. - Its clear the devs spent a lot of time on the art side of things. The animations are nice and I especially love the blacksmith character and his upgrade animation sequence. The game looks great and plays ok. Sometimes menus in shops don't open, but other then that, it plays well. Overall, this game has potential, but definitely need to focus on balancing, story and replay ability. The game in its current state is quite boring and I feel no excitement about continuing with game play for now until its updates. I really hope it improves.
