Solid CYOA, you actually feel like a competent fighter, and overall I enjoyed the story. There were realistic situations when it came to combat, I saw choices I made long ago take into effect, and the slow burn romance was good in many aspects but sometimes it was a little frustrating. But the ending was much more hopeful than I expected with my play-through so I am satisfied. I will absolutely be playing the next one.

The story really pulls you in. You start to genuinely feel for the MC the deeper you get. The narrative is tightly woven and the pacing is great. It handles its themes of emotional distress and trauma with a lot of care, and it does it well. The side characters aren't an afterthought either; they feel like real, three-dimensional people.
My only real complaint is that I now have to wait for the sequel.

Such a good story! I could hardly stop reading because it was so gripping from start to finish. I empathized with my character throughout and worried about whether every decision was the right one. It's definitely a game I'll play more than once.
