I enjoyed Royal Affairs a good deal. I found it better than both Creme de la Creme and Noblesse. For reference, I actually did not care much for Creme de la Creme, but liked Noblesse.
Royal Affairs sort of takes the best from the other two and drops what doesn't work for them.
I'll note that I still do not understand why every social interaction has to be, essentially, a persuasion check. Sometimes, you just want to encourage your friends, not persuade them that you are encouraging them....
