Giving this game a pre-emptive Recommendation because I believe what I have experienced so far is extremely well done.
The movement in this game is grid-based. But in this game, the grid based movement seems almost natural. It takes some getting used to. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning and the game is very complex and kinda impressive to understand the engine its running on.
From what Ive experienced so far, Ive seen very lovingly crafted areas that seem realistic and good sound design and little "events" that happen that keep you on edge. Not jump scares. Just little things that ramp up the tension.
What I feel when I play this game is that the developer (YES ONE PERSON) is very green in their technical knowledge of video game engines (THAT DOES NOT MEAN THERE ARE BUGS... I HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED A BUG) but they have the spirit and the dedication and the creativity and imagination to take that amatuer title and actually wear it with a badge of honor because what is on display here is extremely ambitious. The story and the way its delivered its innovative. Jimi Hendrix took a right hand guitar and played it upside down. The developer took a basic engine and contorted it into this psychedelic, dread-inducing 3D game. Its actually good too. The sound design is on point. Sound and silence and music when all done correctly can change an entire scene. The music and ambience and sound is perfection here. Im not kidding, this game has been said by the developer to be 8 hours.
I am enraptured and very intrigued by the story. The reason Im giving this a pre-emptive thumbs up and really bragging on it is because I dont see any English reviews. Give this game a chance. The 14.99 price tag seems ridiculous and Im not gonna lie, I think its more 9.99, but this is not some lazily test project. This is PURE passion.
Im extremely excited to continue and will revise and add to this review once I complete it.
