It's alright, if you enjoy chess this may be fun. Alot of the problems i have could be fix with a different/improved engine and having personality/variation in how it plays (e.g. Dragon, fritz, or Maia for "Human") Puzzles and Lesson: To add review soon Though I am not a great chess player (1600) playing with no assist was a slight surprise since was expecting a simple for light challenge, so choose how you want to play with that in mind. The Lizard engine in the game seems to be developer made, and has some problems. It seems to be hand-crafted function to evaluate which will lead to long term, closed positions and opening misunderstanding and evaluating. There isn't any "change in personality" making it boring to play. **To note the below is just playing chess against engines, some engines are more "enjoyable" to play against but overall they just aren't similar to playing against people.** In openings it is especially bad. Playing "nothing moves" (h3, a3 and other moves that achieve nothing), doesn't develop its pieces (leading with pawn moves first for multiple moves) , developing toward the centre seem to be another issue for the engine and it is quite passive (often playing closed, limited space positions). For playing against, it never misses tactics (obviously. engines are just better than people when calculating but it's frustrating and makes them pointless to play for), somewhat randomly blunders in ways that aren't human (which is reasonable, just noting), and it's a long fought battle when it doesn't give you a piece (almost always playing near perfect, making a winning position a chore to win) Overall it is just playing a opening and getting a winning position and then slowly trade down to a winning endgame or you play a closed position and then prepare a pawn break to get a passed pawn. Minor Addition: Allow us to use our own engines installed (just, maybe more) for evaluating games, i assume that there may be some sort of problem with having SF or other included and some controls for the engine being used (though, i imagine that may be a difficult addition, so all good if it's unreasonable). Though to note, that it's easy to copy the PGN for transfer to other software. Add premoving please. Minor problem: Please use a proper clock, It pains me to look at the clock and have no idea how much time i have left. How you may be able to is have a choose of time control e.g. 1/3, 3/5, 5/10, 10/0 15/10 etc. instead of just speeding it up.

A good game if you want to pretend you are better at chess than you really are. And also if you're a chess lover. You can play in an alternate universe where you actually are a contender for the World Chess Championship. Very unique concept that I am glad became a game. There are some immersion-breaking bugs, though. I had just finished playing a tournament and suddenly am unable to join any tournaments and the game breaks.
